1998 Used Volkswagen Jetta 4 Dr GT Sedan
The '98 Jetta GT is a sturdy car good acceleration (it revs high), brakes might take some time to get used to as it's not as sensitive as the jap makes, great handling (it's a heavy car, so it won't get pushed around if there's a lot of wind while driving), comfort is better than the japanese makes. Downside is the maintenance and parts when it breaks down which are pretty expensive. I suggest this car to anyone who has knowledge in fixing cars or else it could cost you an arm and a leg. But apart for the repairs it's a great car, I personnally love it I've done lots of trips with it and the trunk is amazingly huge, I just wish it wouldn't be so costly on the repairs...

If you want a good VW, this is it. The Wolfsburg models are usually a little cheaper than the VR6 models, but come with all the best upgrades--better stereo, cloth racing seats, spolier, moonroof.

A little more expensive than most cars to maintain, but well worth it when you drive it! Only problems I've had are wear items, belt(chain), suspension, exhaust. Very fun and sporty car, would recommend one to anybody who loves to drive! Fast car, and still gets 32 mpg...MAX, going 55 on the highway, of course, but still. 24-25 mpg city driving, unless you get on the gas, which is very tempting in this car (in which case you would get about 22-23 mpg, still not horrible). The engine noise is phenomenal, magnaflow makes that even better ; ) Overall, LOVE the car!

Overall this is an amazing car. I've only had it a few months but i'm in love with it already. Lots of power, compact yet spacious, great handling, and amazing build quality.

5spd 4cyl - 8speaker w/sunroof. This was my Jetta of choice, optioned exactly how I wanted it. I have 224k miles on it.
Pros —
Hows 32 mpg average sound? The 8 speaker factory stereo sounds great too - I have an integrated ipod adapter that takes place of the cd changer.
Cons —
I burned out the check engine light.
