2000 Volkswagen Jetta Reviews
| “2000 Vw Jetta Gls 1.8t” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS 1.8T Turbo Sedan DELETE
i love the car to death, but it keeps freaking breaking down. i wouldn't reccomend this car to ANYONE that isn't a mechanic...you WILL be working on it a lot. My favorite feature is that this car will outrun a 2004 and older mustang GT and get 25 mpg doing it...but it is not a gas saver under any circumstances. it's a cheap thrill. but i've been through a lot with mine...im kinda attatched to it
Pros —
great power, somewhat ok gas mileage, comfortable ride
Cons —
unreliable

TDI stick shift is the way to go! 43 mpg in the city man! Highway miles are around 48.
Pros —
MPG
Cons —
Horsepower and performance

| “Not Worth The Price” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS
The car handles well, I like the feel of it, but man does it fall apart a lot. I have put well over 50% of its value back in to it for repairs. Being a foreign car I should have seen high prices, but man 250 bucks to do a tune up on a stock car?
Pros —
Handles well
Cons —
Costs a lot to repair

| “Excellent Car!” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS 1.8T Turbo Sedan DELETE
After being a Ford fan for years (and still am at heart), I was persuaded into a VW and it's been the best decision car wise I have made. After 227,000km it still runs as if it were new. It is fast enough, the buld quality is excellent for a small car and very good on gas. I've put just over $1000 in maintenance in 4 years of ownership. I definitely recommend the MK4 Jetta to anyone!
Pros —
Build quality, low maintenance, fuel economy, quietness, dateless styling.
Cons —
Interior room, lack of power seats, some electronic issues.

2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS VR6
Throttle body becomes a problem around 100k. VR6
Pros —
Great Power to build off of.
Cons —
TOO MANY FREAKIN SENSOR ERRORS!

| “Great Car” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS
Overall I love this car, however I do wish I would have sprung for the 1.8T or the VR6. With a miserly 115 hp this is not a performance car. I do like the pick-up it has in the 65-80 mph range. It's the 0-60 pick-up I wish I had more of.
Pros —
Looks, Interior (except rear seats), MPG, trunk space.
Cons —
Engine, although newer models are better

2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS VR6
I had some issues with it and eventually had to get rid of it, but it was a great car and i miss it very much. If you get a VW, you have to be ready to deal with people not knowing how to work on it or not willing to.
Pros —
Fun to drive. Lots of little things (amenities)
Cons —
Someehat expensive parts

2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLX
Vr6 is a great engine. lots power whenever you want it. be prepared to replace water pump and timing chain after 100k miles though... and body style is pretty sexy too. lots of fun to drive.
Pros —
awesomeness
Cons —
things can need replacing

| “Great Car, Fantastic Mileage” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDi
Purchased in August 2005 with 245,900km on it. Currently, July 2008, it has 411,500km on it. Reason I bought the car was for the fuel mileage. 1200km on 55Litres is too good to pass up. Because of the torque, it pulls like a freight train on the highway, and will surprise many cars. Couple things, I wish it was RWD, and I'd like it to handle like a MINI. Can't have everything though!
Pros —
Fuel Mileage, reliability
Cons —
Handling, FWD

| “2000 Jetta Vr6” Reviewing:
2000 Used Volkswagen Jetta GLS VR6
It really performed way better than i ever thought that it could. it did ride and drive really well until i lost a bump stop.that sucked. now it takes bumps really poorly.it is still really fun to drive though.
Pros —
fast and tight. takes corners really well . very fast on the highway
Cons —
its a 2000
