2004 Volkswagen Passat Reviews
“It Was Free It Drive Pretty Good Performance Wise!!!”
Not really SPORTY enough for me = its a Automatic/manual transmission!!!
The car drives incredibly smooth, even at really high speeds. The acceleration could be better, but it's not bad, with 0-60 at 7.6 sec. It looks very nice, inside and out. The interior is great, and comfy as well. I really love to drive this car.
“Very Comfortable For Road Trips. Good Mpg”
great mpg, 40+ avg city and hwy, brakes could be a bit stronger, acceleration is good... very peppy at low ends w/ turbo help, eng loud outside of car but hardly noticeable inside, good stereo system
“Just Bought A 2004 Glx Wagon”
I like it but too soon to offer a educated opinion
The car has "bells and whistles" that no one uses and add to the price and complications of this year. Buyer beware, you will have to study the owners manual just to figure out how to change your clock when daylight savings time kicks in, along with other basic features. There are numerous annoyances and oddities. The car lunges forward when you turn it off. The transmission lurches forward when you slow down or stop at random times. The radio settings change at random. There is no way to get the windows to open just an inch or so, the automated opener switch is not sensitive enough. The key locks in the slot for no apparent reason. The car alarm will go off randomly for no reason.
The car drives well and is comfortable for long trips. The "little things" will make you crazy
