I have owned my GTI since 2006 and have had no problems with it. It has a 2.0 FSI Turbo engine with intercooler. Stock the car has 200hp/206tq. I upgrade mine with an Audi Performance and Racing tune and now have 263hp/303tq which in a small car like this is really impressive. I haven't run it at a track yet but I expect it to run in the high 13's low 14's. I have also installed Neuspeed lowering springs and did a resonator delete. My next upgrade will be a Neuspeed P-flow intake and I'm planning on getting a high performance downpipe . With those upgrades done and my chip upgraded to stage 2  I should be close to 300hp. The interior is plaid which is a tribute to the original GTI. The steering wheel is problably the nicest I've ever seen outside of an exotic. I've become spoiled by the HID headlights super bright and headlight washers too. To keep me out of trouble I have installed an Escort Passport 8500 X50 Radar Detector. I have run the car up to 130mph and it was rock solid and still accelerating hard. Others with my same tune say 155 is the top speed. On my last trip to New Jersey I got 30mpg on the interstate with 2 passengers, 2 dogs and luggage.  I would recommend this car to any German car enthusiast bang for the buck it can't be beat.

So far this car has been a blast to drive, incredibly reliable, and good gas mileage.

Its a quick shifting.  Somewhat decent on speed (modded).  great handling car

Best car I've owned, so far. I loved the DSG. Also the engine is absolutely fabulous. Not the fastest car around, but definetly the best all-round fun car for reasonable money. Still sad that I had to sell it.
