It pretty much goes anywhere. It has great interior looks as with exterior looks. It's a smooth ride with great handling. And it gets good gas mileage.
Pros —
goes anywhere, looks great
Cons —
No sun roof like the older models, could be lifted about 2 inches

| “Outperforms Everything That Doesn't Cost $20k More.” Reviewing:
2006 Used Nissan Xterra SE 4WD
Nissan's XTerra is the same sort of vehicle that the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the Hummer H3, and the Land Rover LR3 are. Except it costs less than all 3, out performs all 3 in terms of acceleration, does as well as any of them off-road, and is built better. Doesn't have the huge visibility problems of the FJ. It's probably the best-looking of them all, as well (especially in white). It's built on the same platform as the Nissan Titan so it's tough and has a very long lifespan. The handling under poor conditions is fantastic -- this winter was bad in terms of winter storms, but it didn't matter one bit to this car.
Pros —
Low price, high performance (V6, 261bhp, 281+ lb/ft torque), fantastic off-road capability, better sound system than most luxury cars, high riding position.
Cons —
Low fuel economy (approx 15 mpg if you drive it like I do), high center of gravity so it's prone to rollover, no leather seat option.

| “Power House” Reviewing:
2006 Used Nissan Xterra SE 4WD
the xterra is a great vehicle. my husband and I purchased it to ensure safety with the crazy minnesota winters and it has not let us down. in fact it is difficult to make this vehichle slip or perform poorly. it handles, drives, and takes turns really well. the only downfall is the poor gas mileage, if only it were a hybrid!
Pros —
nothing gets in its way
Cons —
poor gas mileage

| “My First Ride.” Reviewing:
2006 Used Nissan Xterra Off-Road 4WD
Amazing rig. Excellent performance for something of it's size. Plenty of room inside. Lots of little compartments for all your stuff.
Pros —
Off-road abilities, everything you need and nothing you don't. Hauls people, pets, cargo, and surfboards. Surprisingly powerful engine with alot of low-end torque and a 0-60 in the low 7s.
Cons —
It got totalled when a lady T-Boned me doing 50 in a Dodge Intrepid.

| “Squeak And Valve Job Before 20 K” Reviewing:
2006 Used Nissan Xterra S 4WD
I bought my X at 17 k miles last November. I bought it for the 4WD and camping gear space - which it has lived up to. Overall - I love the power, style and performance. I knew going in the 4 liter V-6 with a HELL of alot of power and FUN would cost at the pump- and it DOES! There is a squeak that has come back twice now which the dealer says is the hood latch. I have read it is a fuel pump problem unresolved. Also - the valve covers have been replaced. Though under warranty - still replaced at less than 20K???????? Also - the paint SUCKS! VERY weak as is the plastic interior. I owned a Camry for 13 years before this and had better luck. Sorry - you get what you pay for!
Cons —
Paint, Quality and interior
