1990 Jaguar XJ-Series Reviews
| “My Green Goddess” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr XJ6 Sovereign Sedan
Solid? Yup! Saved my life when a Mazda RX7 plowed into my driver's side in 1987. Gorgeous Brittish Racing Green with gold side stripe & gold wheels. Tan leather interior - velvet head lining! Original walnut dash. The only other thing not stock, and its just a little thing, is the 350 Chevy engine - HaHa!!
Pros —
Everything
Cons —
Don't like to park it in public places

| “Great Looking Car” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr Vanden Plas
I actually had an 88, but the car was missing from the list, 1990 was the closest.
Pros —
Car looks great, handles wonderfully and rides on air (well actually mineral oil but that is beside the point)
Cons —
Parts are really expensive

| “Actually Series Ii 1973.. Beautiful” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr XJ6 Vanden Plas Sedan
The vaccum cleaner.. used to suck girls into the back seat, may need another soon. High maintenance and fuel cost but who cares, if that bothers you then dont buy one. This is without a doubt the car i was most proud of at time of ownership ( 21 ) beautiful in red with tan vinyl roof, Lwb, 4.2 nice!!
Pros —
thirsty, maintenance intensive
Cons —
There are none

| “It's A Jag, Man - What Else To Comment?” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr XJ6 Sedan
The 4ltrs-engine is not the most powerful way to drive a jag, but enough to make relaxed 200km/h without overusing the engine. Anyway the XJ will never be a sportscar... but an eye-catcher! You don't drive, you glide! Girls will always love it.. if it's a new one or an old one... it is a Jag and you will never be judged as snobby, but as classy! The daimler-interiour is just great with the wooden tables in the back, all the lights etc. Handle engine careful if cold.
Pros —
Just gliding! If kept in good condition, the Ford-area models are of higher quality than Jags were known to be. Will remain a classy car. Relatively easy to get used parts. Cheap models available.
Cons —
Still british...complicated to repair, expensive new parts. High maintanance costs. Handling of a trunk, but still better than every american sedan.

| “1 Of The Worlds Best Cars” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr Sovereign
Pro`s easily outweigh the cons, buy a good one & you`ll fall in love, buy a bad one & watch your bank ballance plummet. Economy is the biggest issue, expect 14mpg in town, 25mph cruising on the motorway...
Pros —
Like nothing on earth, amazing crash resistance, feel good factor
Cons —
Electrical issues, MPG & rust.

| “Gorgeous Cat...” Reviewing:
1990 Used Jaguar XJ-Series 4 Dr Vanden Plas
This is a rare V12 with 300 horse power. It is a 1988 Series III V12 Vanden Plas imported from Canada -- one of the last of the Series III XJ's before they changed the body style. It has an incredible ride and effortless power. Not a dragster by any means but cruises along the highway with ablomp. It has beautiful wood trim, Connelly leather, and lambswool rugs.
Pros —
Ride, Style, Effortless power
Cons —
Fuel economy, High maintenance cost
