this car is the fastest car i have ever driven, the rated 0-60 time for this car is supposed 2 be 6.0 seconds but it was way faster. my dad had this for a while so i drove it with him. it was awesome because he let me race this guy in a mustang at a stoplight... needless to say we completely owned him... ya it was a stickshift so thats probly another reason it was so fast. o and it was in black and had black rims.. ya preeettty sick

Pros — really really fast, cool gauges, very cheap for the kind of car u'll get!!
Cons — none

I love my M3.  It has 130k and feels just as strong as when it had 40k and I had first purchased it.  Cosmos black on black interior is sinister with tinted windows, blacked out grills and dark grey 18" wheels offset front to rear.  It is lowered, with Dinan cold air intake and large throttle body, Dinan programming, AA track pipe and Borla exhaust for awesome sound.   I also installed a Z4 6 speed trans for 160+ mph top speed(verified 3x).  The car just fits me like a glove and always does what I expect- no surprises during spirited driving.  Even though the maintenance costs are high, it is definitely worth it, very few cars combine power with handling as well as this one.  Still gets compliments, too.

Pros — Power, sounds great, handles very well
Cons — Expensive to maintain

The most sporting member of BMW's 3-Series sedan range began as a limited-edition model designed to meet minimum production requirements for touring car racing in Europe and Asia. The M3 arrived in the U.S. in the late '80s but had been available in Europe for several years previously. M3s initially were 2-door coupes with a decided lack of emphasis on creature comfort, but today M3 buyers can choose between a sedan, coupe, and convertible, equipped to deliver both performance and comfort. For 1998, the M3 receives standard seat-mounted side airbags to further increase front-seat crash protection.

Pros — Comfort, ride, handling, & power, are all great! amazing acceleration (0-60 in 5.5), top speed (147mph), and handling. luxerious inside with leather, dual climate control, sound system, sun roof.
Cons — Electric problems occur often such as window and seat being stuck and nonresponsive to respective buttons. If these problems occur there is a high price to pay to have the problem fixed.

My M3 was awesome as a street car and know justa s impressive as a track car.
It makes me want to get another one to drive everyday.

Pros — The power to weight ratio makes this car comparable to big V-8 cars.
Cons — The cooling system! I mean come on a plastic radiator?

Wanted this car for 10yrs and finally found the perfectly spec'd out one last August.  Bought it on Auto trader from Houston, TX site un-seen and had it Fe-Ex'd to me.

Pros — It handles great, so tight and strong, with the upgraded air intake it sounds incredible too.
Cons — Stupid E36 98' problems like saggy glove box, bad connector in climate control so it goes on and off and dimmed out digital clock and odometer readings.

This car is almost magical.  It is balanced, the power delivery is linear,
the brakes are wonderful, etc.

Pros — Brakes, handling, power delivery
Cons — Seats require a lot of car for them to stay nice
