One of the finest 5 series car made by BMW.
Overall, I can say this car is an amazing and lovely car. First of all, the car carries a 4.4L V8 engine with 286 hp and it has the torque of about 324 ft-lbs at 3600 rpms. The chassis is solid and well built, thus making the car very safe. The car also has a very nice and smooth feel to it and I personally enjoy driving it.
Pros: Very fast and powerful car, built very solidly, reliable car, luxurious, and fun to drive.
Cons: Has a lot of small problems, and it takes a lot of money to modify/fix. The mpg on this car sucks a lot as well.

1999 Used BMW 540i:
Best E39 money can buy
BMW 540i. Very powerful car and closest to a E39 M5. Equipped with an auto gear and loaded with options like: Nappa leather, full AC schnitzer bodykit, Original M5 rims, head lamp washer, rain detector, M5 Bootlid, roof aerial, AC Schnitzer exhaust.
Pros: Everything is good
Cons: Probably the price. Paid close to $330,000 and not fuel economical.
1999 Used BMW 540i:
V8, 286hp and 440 Nm
Heaps of power, not so reliable automatic gearbox, 18 inch wheel, 255/35-18 at the rear, tonnes of grip
Pros: Engine and wheels
Cons: Gearbox that stuffs up
