I have an E36 328i touring at the moment so that I can get the buggy and the shopping in the boot! But I used to have a 328i Sport Coupe with the M3 kit as standard and that looked lovely! Bit expensiveon fuel but fun to drive. Great family car whilst still being respectable.

Pros — Good acceleration
Cons — Boot could do with being a little bigger

Its a BMW whats not too like.
I installed the M52 2.8i engine insted of the M50 2.5i very nice upgrade and as a bonus the M50 is just the perfect engine for turbo/supercharger so that's the next step.
But the 2.8i is alot more smooth and alot quicker so it will do for now :-)

Pros — everything
Cons — well i guess a little bit of rust, but its a car i can fix it

I drove this car twice.  Great handling and quick car.  The ride was very comfortable.

Pros — Quick, great handling, comfortable, and roomy even for a Coupe with good trunk space
Cons — Clutch might need improvement

Good value for money, excellent handling and loads of torque.

Everything for driver is easily reachable and does not get into the way either.

Cars 10 years younger offer more power (of course) but also cost more.

Not much leg room in the back with a driver of similar height (180cm) but plenty of space in the trunk.

If you want a cheap car get something from Japan instead, if you want a car with good handling then there's no alternative.

Pros — Handling, quality and performance are top of the class.
Cons — May be clumsy in tight parking areas (it's not a small car)
