1992 BMW 325 Reviews
| “Bimzimmer” Reviewing:
1992 Used BMW 325i
This car does donoughts all day long! Parts for this car are expensive. Good performance and easy to drive. Nice shifter. 7.5L of synthetic oil every 5000km gets expensive. Be prepared to learn about electrical problems and know how to do simple stuff because most mechanics won't touch this car cuz they're afraid to break something on the car haha
Pros —
fun in the snow
Cons —
expensive

1992 Used BMW 325i
Very impressed with this Bimmer. They are built to last, very solid car, extremely well handling. Gets about 550km to a $50 tank(even more when all highway). The v6 engine is made to last well over 300 000k minimum. The acceleration from the 195hp engine is great, click the pedal to the floor and the car droppes down a gear for extreme revs!
Pros —
Handling, Expensive Parts,Gas milage
Cons —
8 litres of oil!, expensive for parts

| “A Great All Round Car, And Great Fun To Drive!” Reviewing:
1992 Used BMW 325i
Ever since I was a kid I wanted one of these, so I took the time to find a good one. This one had 2 previous owners, full BMW service history and low milage for its age. Mechanically it was superb, ride handling, steering and performance all what you'd expect from a BMW. It was realiable too, the only thing to go on it was the thermostat which went at 121k and wasn't very expensive to replace, but had to be done immediately as the engine was overheating. It also walked straight through its MOT, a testament to its proper upkeep and good quality. It was a joy to drive, the 2.5 straight-6 engine giving great performance and a wonderful howling rasp when revved. It also managed 33mpg on a long high speed run. Being Rwd the handling is fun and it corners like its on rails, though the back end can and will slip out in wet/slippy conditions, so best not to push it in such sitautions. It was also fairly comfy and quiet over long distance too, though the seats lack side support. It can seat 4, but the rear seats are a bit tight, though the boot was spacious and the rear seats split folded, which made it more practical. Cosmetically it wasnt the best, rust starting to creep in at the wheel arches (BMW weak spot) and door edges. The plain red paint also tends to fade easily.
Pros —
Fast, fun to drive, looks smart, gets respect, reliable and comfortable.
Cons —
Some rust weak-spots, seats too flat, needs to be driven with care in the wet

I think my car is the sexiest piece of metal riding around. Performance is top notch, hands down! Maintenance is a must if you own a BMW...can't afford it, don't buy one. Is it fun?! Drive one...there is a reason why they call it the ultimate driving machine!
Pros —

Cons —

This is the epitome of the ultimate driving machine. As a 1992 it was the redesigned upgrade with sleeker styling and a bigger engine. The E36 chassis and 3 series design is known the world over as one of the best. Especially since it has one best in class 13 years in a row. The 325i has been a dream of mine to own since i could understand the concepts of quality and performace when it comes to automobiles. Now i have one and it has been everything i hoped it would be. I never thought I could love something so material as a vehicle, but I do!
Pros —
Everything
Cons —
Factory Audio

| “Bmw 327i Cabriolet” Reviewing:
1992 Used BMW 325i
Right, it's not a 1992 325, according to this application there is no such beast as a '92 320i cabriolet. Saying that, its not a 320 anymore either. The old gal has undergone an Alpina style conversion to 2.7 complete with a limited slip diff. Although it's a heavy soft top with the same amount of valves as my age when it was built (12), it surprises most people in their characterless modern motors when a straight six on full chat flies by! It's old skool kool, it's rear wheel drive, and it's loud. I always wanted one of these when I was young! Although very well made in Germany, this car first saw English roads when the Torys were in power, a loud exhaust note was not frowned upon by Brussels, and the Bodyguard was a brand new film instead of being what you require to guard your rapidly depleting wallet at the pumps! Bollocks to political correctness! This car demands to be driven and shouts at everything in its way! So roof down, crank up the 90's tunes, and floor it whenever you can! Balls to fuel costs, it drinks more than George Best but I won't sell it! Tony and fat Gordon can try and tax me off the road, but the car stays! My only gripe is that the car is red when it should be blue! |
| “200k Miles And Still Going Strong” Reviewing:
1992 Used BMW 325i
Upkeep can get pricey on mine, as it has just under 200,000 miles. As long as you have the money to keep on top of things it's not too bad, though. The engine still runs strong, and I get over 32mpg on the interstate when I drive sane-like.
