The bmw e30 325 is the ultimate bmw one of the best machines ever built. The acceleration is great and can whip most cars. The braking and handling are solid regarding its age   and absolutely great to drive.. gear ratios, power from da motor and weight of the car has made all this possible. low driving speeds are however very irritating in this car.

Pros — handling, power. road luking over side window(drifting)
Cons — not good for low speeds and inexperienced

All year round late 80's sports car. Loved the AWD.  BMW race heads and Remus exhaust and a short throw made this car come alive even though it wasn't sports car fast for the millennium. Still a quick car. This car with 230k when i sold her still had stock bottom end and this pulled hard.

Pros — All year round driver.
Cons — It's a BMW parts are not cheap.

Amazing for a 20 year old car, The build quality of
BMW's is unbelievable.  Paint is a little rough, but
that's no big deal.  I get around 30 mpg highway, 22
city with a 5 speed manual.  Very fun car to dive,
couldn't ask much more out of this little beauty.

Pros — Cheap, fast, great build quality
Cons — alot of brake dust and road noise, "it's so cute" comments from women

For a car thats 20 years old, and has 242000 km+ on it, it still drives well. This car still pulls hard and handles well! Its full of gadgets, which is surprising when you consider the age. Its great on gas, and its a joy to drive. Silky smooth straight six, with rear wheel drive. What more could you want?

Pros — Fast, handles well, fun to drive, looks good, fairly realiable.
Cons — Brakes are a little weak, can be a handfull in bad weather.

I've had a ton of fun with this ride. 186k miles now and the car drives like a champ.

Pros — Solid ride, no loose noises for having so many miles.
Cons — The top is expensive to replace.

I've been a fan of the 80's BMW's for a long time.  I bought it with a lot of problems and have been slowing fixing it up.  The car handles better than a lot of new cars out there and with a few touches here and there the E30 chassis is a stout performer on autocross and track days.  The A/C still blows cold and its 20 years old.

Pros — handling, looks, power
Cons — need to fix the control arms...

E30s have a well deserved repuatation for longevity and reliability. Engines, eta or i, run 200,000 miles without a rebuild with ease. Transmissions are equally as strong. While the entire range is now 17 years old or more its difficult to find examples that have been maitained properly and are rust free. When cared for these cars are deceptively good all around performers and are reliable too. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as I find E30s quite good looking as they are classic BMW, especially in contrast to today's Bangle designed cars.

Pros — Low asking prices, excellent build quality, performance, style
Cons — Parts prices, timing belt replacement needed every 50,000 miles

Personally I love this body style and they say it is one of BMW's Best handeling chasies, and they are just fun as hell to drive.

Pros — Easy as hell to park, quick, and reliable
Cons — Older cars need work, and just require more attention than new cars
