  Very nice car for a base model. Would prefer to have a higher-end model (think E46 M3) but this will do in a pinch. Decent performance, GREAT handling for as softly sprung as it is, and pretty decent gas mileage to boot. So far it's been fairly reliable. Have had a couple of pricey repairs (most of which were covered under extended warranty), but so far so good.
Pros:
Great handling, comfortable ride, and quiet.
Cons:
Expensive to repair. A little light on power.

I wanted a car that could cruise at 100mph and still get 25mpg. it handles very well for a 4 door and has pretty good pickup. The thing I wish it has was more hp, it only has 170hp; for car that weighs over 3000lb its not the fastest. next time I think I'll get a 330i.
Pros:
Looks,handles great, and mpg
Cons:
needs a little more power, 220hp would be great.

To start, BMW's are the best! Its quick, fun to drive, and with the suspesion upgrades it handles even better. Insurance is a little on the high side due to being young, and premium fuel nowadays is getting pricey. Build quality is great, fit and finish in the interior is awesome. However, as it ages parts are failing - as would any car.
Pros:
Head tuner, fun to drive, 5speed fun
Cons:
Everyone wants to drive it!

Great car, not the fastest but with a dinan supercharger that will change. Mine is rocking a intake, exhaust, and dinan stage 2 software. I've raced a 330i and beat it so it's fast enough for me

performance has been great, no major repairs just maintenance like every other car expenses under $100, confort and inside look is the best from the rest cars in its class, (better then the new 09 charger), built tough and reliable, you still can get great milage with little upgades like i did with suspesion upgrade, exhous, cold air intake with the special hood scoops, weels supercharger, turbo,chip. carburator, headers, inovated spark plugs, double blow off valve, and ground effect kit that will get you in corners with more speed and better handling... im waiting the rest of the parts on mine

This is by far the best car i have ever owned. The car is ten years old, with 110000 miles, and it still looks like new inside and out. BMW just makes a great car. I expect this one to go another 100000 easy. No major engine work to date. Just regular maintenance, and when i turn the key it still returns he favor.

could use more power, but i'm not complaining

Maintenance on this thing kills! An oil change alone will run you about $100. However, it handles like a champ and rear wheel drive is a plus. Being a standard, it's the most fun CAR I've ever driven, hands down. My favorite, for sure.

Its a great car. Its fun to drive and reliable. It is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. I drove this vehicle from Denver to Atlanta with no problems and over this period of time I averaged over 30MPG. It was the easiest long distance drive I have ever had.
Pros:
Fun to drive and as comfurtable as it gets.
Cons:
Its no Ferrari
