I bought the T-Bird from my m9om when i was 15 for 200 dollars earned ovewr an entire summer of saving up my money and she had alot of problems (Neither of the windows rolled down the only ventilation she had was the power sunroof and the motor was going bad on that) she had the base 302 in her and i found out that the people that had her before me didnt change the oil in her for three years and that is why she leaked like a sive but i loved her with all my heart both my ex and my current fiance were jealous of the car because they thought that i loved her more then i did to them. for a long time that car was my home and in curtain times she was my confidant when i was a bank courier we would get into arguments and i would start yelling but she always forgave me. my name is David and my cousin is a bible freak so he said that i should name my car Bathsheba after the woman that king david falls in love with in the bible and the name stuck. me and that car wrecked three times and went off the road more than oi can count because of my inexperiance not through any fault of hers and then one day i was driving to my friends house and a few days prior i had noticed the transmission slipping and i replaced the filter and fluid then i went over to his house and i started to smell smoke and i looked down at the center console and i could see smoke so i got to the hill infront of his house and put her in neutral and shut her off and coasted to his house where she sat until i hopefully could get a tow truck to take her to the garage because im a teenager armed with a haynes manual this repair task was out of my hands. then i found out that i couldnt get the tow out and i stupidly decided to try to drive the five miles to the shop and halfway she starts to downshift and then she finally died and i tried and tried to restart her but she was dead so i coasted into a school parking lot and then called the office from my cell phone and asked if she could wait there while i got a tow truck and they said that i could and then when i got baack there three days later she was gone she had been towed away i didnt have the funds needed to get her back and i tried to make a deal with the towing company because i was heading out to basic in about a week from then but they said that they couldnt help me and that if i didnt pay or sign the car tpo them that they would charge it to my credit and that would kill my chance at my clearance so i had to sign over my first and only car. im sorry but this is the only place that ive seen where i could write an eulogy for her. because the tow people scraped her and i miss her ive driven alot of cars and none were better thgan she was let me tell you if you can get your hands on a 88 T-Bird keep her keep ahold of her the best that you can these are the best cars that you can get

Pros — Best vehicle that i have ever driven
Cons — old and some parts didnt work or were wore out

I love the way this car looks because of it's classic styling. I do hate the 3.8 liter v6 EFI it came with though. It drinks gas and is slower than molasses, but then again, it has 238,000 miles on it, which brings me to build. This thing has been rear ended 4 times, totaling 3 out of the 4 cars that has hit it. Overall, I love this car. It would, however, be the best thing ever if it had a 302 or a 351.

Pros — Build quality, styling, comfort,
Cons — The 3.8 liter v6.

Got her after I wrecked the Cutlass. Didnt want a Ford but she always starts--no matter what. Head gasket went out cause that style engine was bad with 'em. Raised the back end of this one up to 'bout 6. She looked sweet and you could do anything with her.

Pros — Built like a tank/hummer. Through fields, over dikes, "rock climbing," it didnt matter. She could do it all.
Cons — Little things needed to be fixed, but that was usually cause of me. She's laid up in my shop now cause the front passenger side is messed up cause my buddy hit a deer with her. So if you know of any '88 Tbirds I NEED one.

I have had this car for a while, and its awesome.  My friends and I have many memories in this car.  It drives nice, the engine might not produce the power that people want it to, but it gets the job done.

Pros — Good engine, good suspension.  Interior is great.
Cons — parts can be expensive.

1988 Ford Thunderbird. 3.8 V6.  Comfortable on the inside of the car. Was build for the family. Outside came practical for families. Plain and reserved. two Door RWD car. Reliable if you take care of it.

Pros — The 3.8 was good on gas and cleans up nice if you have a knack for style. Gets you from point A to point B. Ford should of kept the body style. Flowmasters give it the V8 rumble without the farty sound.
Cons — The head gaskets are known for blowing around the 120,000 mi marker.  Doesn't have the power of the 5.0 or the 2.3 Turbo.
