1986 Ford Thunderbird Reviews
| “1986 Ford Thunderbird 5.0” A big comfy car that felt like a smaller sports car. 100+foot burnout with the 5.0 V-8 and only 60000K on it, 4 speed auto/overdrive, fully loaded. Gas pig if you are hard on the gas, but good on the hwy. Good reliability, but bad for rust
Pros —
Fast, Quiet, comfortable, burnouts......
Cons —
Gas pig, rust easy, hard to park

| “1986 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe” I used to own this car. It was a while back, but I still remember it clearly. VERY FAST!. I remember once my tires chirped in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. It was a 4 cylinder turbo charged engine. It was just as fast as the V8 version. It was nice and roomy on the inside and muscular looking on the outside.
Pros —
All
Cons —
None. I don't buy cars that have negatives.

| “I Love This Car!!!!!!”
I got my T'bird in 1990 for 5K and it was in showroom condition. It has about 42K miles
Pros —
Good gas mileage, great handling, great pickup
Cons —
I've had some starter problems and it ate up batteries until they figured it out. That's it.

Pros —
Strong motor, 22 and still running strong
Cons —
miserable fuel mileage (7-12 mpg city, 18-20 highway)

| “86 2.3 Turbo Coupe 5 Speed With Handling Package Awesome Ride !!!!” had this car since 91 3rd owner. was with 2nd owner when he bought it in 88. has been well taken care of and is a real pleasure to drive short distances or long. best car i ever bought besides my 91 super coupe, diffrent story. |
| “She Was A Damn Good Car” She died at 330,000 miles at no fault of her own. It was me the driver that caused her death. She still runs, but it is not safe to drive her with a large chunk missing from the frame. I was the second owner and did a lot of work on her over the years. Eight years of daily driving put 190,000 on her. She was a very good car and I miss her everyday. I want another 1986 tbird. |
