Reliable, tough and good looking but a bit under powered I love my 88 F250.  The body style is my favorite of all the F-series and it has been pretty tough so far.  The 302 V8 is a bit underpowered.  

low qulity body and power train. paper thin sheet metal bends and rusts readily.differential gears fail early and often.egr valves fail frequently as do egr crossover pipes.transmission bearings failed early as have hydraulic clutch  cylinder and clutch.body is so badly misstamped that rear window can not be stopped from leaking.a dismal disappointment after owning an '84.thank u.  shooist@bellsouth.net
