My father bought this truck in 1987 off the dealership lot. Our family has put 278,000 miles on this thing and it is still a great truck. It has been retired for about six years now and it will still start with one turn of the crankshaft. even when it hasn't been started in over three months, it will still start in less than two complest revolutions of the crank. the 300 straight six is the best of Fords' engines as far as reliability and endurance. The truck was wrecked in a severe thunder storm in 1988, and with a little work to the chassis, it was back on the road, and running very well in less than a month.

Cons:
fuel mileage was not the best, but you can't ezpect too much from a work truck. 15 mpg is not that bad when you compare some other gas guzzlers

The truck is built like a tank, the vehicle itself has great performance, but is lacking in the breaking and handling. The cost of ownership is quite low, I have only needed about 300$ in repairs in the last twelve years I have owned it.
Pros:
Bullet-proof engine
Cons:
Gas mileage leaves something to be desired

it was low geared, which made it fast, but four wheel drive went out on it after a while. it had a broken frame, bent steering column, idling problem, gas leak. didn't have windows(at one point), front bumper, working back bumper. averaged 16 in town, but had fun doing it.
Pros:
dont have to worry about wrecking never got cut off.

It sat in the school shop for like 4 months and i hold the record for the longest and most worked on vehicle in our schools history

I do not own it..is my brothers..but as always, am a Ford fan so I have nothing bad to say, but not informed on this model. The fuel guages are broken and he bought it with no manual, so he is kind of lost at the moment.
Cons:
Ford Guages are notorious in most models for eventually breaking.
