| “Pimp Moblie” Loved this car from the moment I saw it sitting in the back of a car lot. 88,000 original miles. It sat in some old lady's garage and she drove it to get groceries and church. 5.0 liter 305 V-8. Not the greatest engine in the world, but if taken care of...does the job and puts a smile on your face. Mine was brown with a darker brown vinail top on the back half. Drove like a tank and if used for the fun of the engine you will feel it in your pocket when filling up at the gas pumps. I got 17mpg which i felt was great for the size. Like I said...very well taken care of when I purchased it. Ran like a top and gave me very little trouble. Carberator stuck a little and gave me a problem when making a left hand turn, which wasn't the best time, because some fantastic person speeding rear ended it and twisted the body. Being a uni-body it was done. Drove the car home just fine...didn't feel any shaking at all!!!!! AC got really cold. Very comfortable as well.
Pros —
Comfortable, puts that smile on your face when petal reaches the metal.
Cons —
With gas prices today it is a bit of an issue. The 305 engine was not the best that chevy made. If not taken care of like it was a new born infant it could cause some problems.
