“1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic”
Well it all started when my dad had purchased a brand new 1977 Caprice Classic ,I was just 7 years old at the time, but I fell in love with that car immediately. He managed a local auto repair center in Md. and used to let me drive it back and fourth in the lot.LOL I think I was like 12 by then though.Anyway the long and short of it is that I thought that the car was going to be mine, and he let my sister borrow it when she got her drivers lisence, and she ended up totalling it. that was a very sad day for me. When I finally got my lisence my dad had bought me a 71 Monte Carlo, which I loved as well, and after that when I got out of highschool,I purchased a 1964 chevelle malibu, and that was another great ride, since then I've had many other miscellanious cars and trucks, but I always wanted that Caprice. I ended up purchasing an 85 Caprice, which was my friend's fathers car,and he sold it to me for $100.00 it had been sitting for 6 years. I just now finally got it on the road,I have done minor body work to it new ,plugs ,wires, distributer, tune up,mags and tires, and now sits in black prymer. I want to purchase a new carb and manifold ,duals and flomasters, and next year a flat black paint job. I love my Caprice,it is very reliable, rides excellent. I think overall Caprices rule. I will buy another one in a heartbeat,as soon as I'm done restoring my 85,I will most definately purchase another one. I'd like to go a little older this time. But like I said I recommend the Chevrolet Caprice to everyone that wants a great old american classic. I give the Chevrolet Caprice Classic a 5 star rating in my book. Cheers! Michael K.
