2005 Chevrolet Corvette Reviews
| “Performance Review Of The C6 Corvette” Reviewing:
2005 Used Chevrolet Corvette Base
Sleek design and awesome performance. 1/4 mile time 12.7 seconds and 0 to 60mph in 4.4 seconds. With 405 hp, 400lb/ft of torque and 19/29 mpg...not a lot of cars under 100k can out run it. For a V8 6.0 liter, 29 mpg on the freeway is incredible. The Lexus GS400 hybrid only gets 25mpg on the freeway...how odd is that?! For a car around 50k that's in the same league as Porsche and Ferrari's...its one of the best bang for your bucks in terms of performance.
Pros —
I like the design, power and torque. Very smooth acceleration, next thing you know you're doing 120mph.
Cons —
Minor electrical problems and too much torque...tired can't grip on the launch off, have to take off slowly at first.

| “2005 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 -modified” Reviewing:
2005 Used Chevrolet Corvette Base
I love it! Great chassis, amazing engine, great ergonomics, good stereo; I couldn't be more pleased with such a car.
Pros —
LS2 engine- uses same bolt patterns of LS1 and LS6 etc. Near 50/50 weight distribution and suspension geometry- neutral in corners depending on front/rear tire selection. Seating- 6 axis bucket seats hold you quite well; with adjustments to suit your figure.
Cons —
Laminate issues- roof and b-pillar are glued to a frame. Leather Shift Knob- very slippery with wet hands. Leaf Springs!?- Nonetheless they get the job done very well.

| “I Love This Car!!!” Reviewing:
2005 Used Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Debuting in 2005, the current Corvette (known as the C6) is by far the best yet. As with past Vettes, a coupe and convertible are offered. Performance is exceptional, with the 0-60-mph sprint taking less than 5 seconds, the quarter-mile taking less than 13 and top speed in excess of 180 mph. That's for the standard Corvette. The standard Corvette comes with a 6.2-liter, 430-horsepower V8 coupled to either a six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic.
Pros —
performance, razor-sharp handling, comfortable ride, eye-catching style, affordability and relatively impressive fuel economy
Cons —
manual transmission's clunky gearchanges, the cabin's mediocre cupholder and storage provisions, ho-hum interior materials and underwhelming Bose audio system.

2005 Used Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Its very fast - 0-60 in about 4 sec, little under the standard as I added Corsa Exhausts and cold air induction. Longest I have ever owned a car.
Pros —
Great fun to drive
Cons —
Police give you a ticket for doing donuts on the main road - it was an accident!

| “Utterly Magnificient! The Best 'till The Gt-r Arrived.”
The truck you see behind me and the Corvette is the one that brought to this truly wonderful day 5 supercars. First, let's start with Miss Kentucky, the Vette.
Pros —
It's wonderful to look at, to drive (whether for cruising or chasing a Ferrari on a track), it's a Targa (so you can enjoy the open air feeling) and it's not that expensive.
Cons —
Doesn't have 4-wheel drive, so unless you're a drifting God, keep the ESP on! And the V8 does drink ...

| “Best Bang For The Buck, Period.” Reviewing:
2005 Used Chevrolet Corvette Base
With just "Bolt-Ons*", the car went from very fast to wickedly fast. The exhaust and engine noise is overwhelming sometimes. Interior is very comfortable for this kind of car. The navigation and on board display is too complicated to use at first, but after almost 3 years of ownership I think I finally figured it out. Steering feedback is good, but could be better. Brakes are fine for street and minor track use, but they do start to fade after heavy track usage. The only real dislike for this car: must shift to reverse inorder to shut off, otherwise the car's electrical system will not shut down completely = dead battery.
Pros —
Fast (always hunting for 911s & Vipers)
Cons —
You better have good clutch & throttle control or else, NO TRACTION!
