1990 Used Chevrolet C/K 1500 Reg. Cab 6.5-ft. Bed 2WD:
looks like a silverado drives like a camaro
This is a 1990 silverado with a 94 front clip. T56 6 speed out of a 1995 pontiac trans am. I am about to put an eaton locker and 4.10 gears in the rear, followed by dropping in a fresh 383 stroker.
Pros: Gets up and goes
Cons: Sometimes when someone walks out in front of it wile i'm driving, The horn sounds instead of the breaks getting applied... Not sure what thats all about...

Tough.
Yeah, tougher than hell, I traded my legacy (because I effin hate them) for this beat up old pickup, it had the engine/tranny combo I wanted. The V6 with the 5speed. Honestly don't like the V8's in these, too many problems, it's also fairly difficult to find one with a five speed. Engine puts up with all my shit, my grandfather and dad have the exact same truck as well, but with different beds. Dads old truck used to be grandfathers and it saw regular used for skidding logs, hauling so much sheet rock the rear frame sat on the axel housing, and numerous other insults lesser trucks would have screamed and died under. My own truck has only seen light use, mostly use it for getting firewood, taking me camping, hauling parts and scrap metal. Because this truck saw alot of abuse before me though it's not perfect, like all these transmissions the gear forks are destroyed and the synchros are going. Had to replace the master cylinder last year because the brakes decided to go while I was going home. One of the rear brakes doesn't work but the truck stops fine. Steering is worn out, but that happens to most things I own eventually.
Pros: Tougher than hell. Not bad milage.
Cons: Weak transmission, broken rear slider. Broken tailgate.
