Work Truck Back home, I drive my dad's old 91 Chevy Silverado. Its dependable, we have put about 350K miles with the stock drivetrain. I love the steel body work and the engine is great. However, it drinks gasoline like its going out of fashion! The 5.7l V8 has a ton of aftermarket parts for it. This truck can be completely redone to fit you needs. A rebuilt truck would offer the great low end torque that this bad boy had new.
Pros: Low end torque and dependablity. Cheap safe vehicle thats easy on insurance.
Cons: Poor steering, poor MPG, and poor brakes. The ride quality isnt the best either.
