Honda's are famed for it's build quality, usability and functionality.  No doubts about the latest CRV.  Gone away is the rugged, boxy look and in place is an SUV with one of the sexiest rear and masculine front fenders.

Acceleration is not hair-raising nor mind blowing but decent enough to pull away in a composed and brisk manner from standstill.  Floor it further to 6200rpm and you will be rewarded with a noticeable surge and a beastly growl under the hood which brings out the wild side of the driver and the car.

Handling is pretty composed for an SUV.  Body roll is noticeable but not alarming.  The stock Bridgestone offers pretty good grip as well.  Brakes are a tad soft and one would need to depress it more than comfortable to bring the 1.6 ton machine to a stop.

Doors and boot close with a solid thump and the interior are of high quality plastics with plenty of soft touch buttons for the console.

Appearance is subjective with some preferring the rugged boxy earlier model.  The new model sports a more executive look, but still retaining its roots of being a weekend off roader.  Too bad there are not many playgrounds for the CRV.  It should perform decently and can handle a slightly rougher terrain than a gravel path with its intelligent 4WD.  The CRV starts with power to all four wheels and switches to 2WD when speeds hit 30km/h and above.  This makes sense for low speeds on a bumpy terrain, offering the driver more confidence and stability and allows more economical runs on cruising speeds in the city and highway.

The CRV has a 50 odd litre tank which can allow the driver to travel about 500km.  This equates to 10km/l which is commendable for a 2.0 l SUV.  At 100km.h, the rpm sits comfortably at the 1900 mark.  This is achievable since the CRV comes with 5-speed automatic with overdrive.

The CRV is a versatile machine.  Mummies can take it grocery shopping and dump a fridge full of supplies.  Fold down the rear seats and you can dump the whole supermarket in!  Daddies can present themselves parked nicely in a suit and tie and infront of a 5 star hotel with enough class yet also make a statement that I am adventurous too!

Overall, the CRV is enjoyable to drive, gives you the extra mile for its impressive fuel economy and allow you to be that little boy racer you have always wanted to be.

Pros — As above
Cons — None at the moment

Like all bells and whistles: Nav, backup camera, XM-satellite radio, PCMCIA card slot, cd changer, moonroof, leather, aux output, maneuverability, heated seats, trip computer, etc... really a lot to like about it. Sport and fun ride feeling.
Dislike: sluggish acceleration (it's a 4-beater after all), although (!) fuel economy is far below from what I was expecting from Honda - this is my second Honda vehicle. I previously owned 03 Accord EX which was also 4-cyl. engine but much better gas saver!

Pros — All bells and whistles, build quality, cost to ownership, fun factor, great overall value
Cons — Bad fuel ecconomy considering it's Honda

This is an excellent family/mt bike hauler. We usually get around 27 mpg on the highway and right around 25 mpg city. There isn't a lot of power but there's more than enough to get you from A to B without getting you in trouble with Johnny law. The all wheel drive has been great for getting through the Minnesota winters, as has the stability and traction control. This is one of the highest rated mini-SUVs when it comes to safety and its a Honda so you know the reliability is there. It has a unique look but with typical CR-V sales numbers you shouldn't expect to be the only one on the road. An excellent choice for an active family that values safety and doesn't want to leave a huge carbon footprint.

Pros — Space, ergonomics, reliability, safety
Cons — Could use more power but not at the expense of fuel economy

handles great and it comfortable.  Its my golf cart.  fits 4 and 4 golf bagges perfectly.
geared to have lower revs at higher speed so it has less acceleration at high speeds.  but the good side to that is i could cruise at 95 and only be at 3.5 rpm

Pros — handles great and it comfortable with a lot of room.
Cons — geared to have lower revs at higher speed so it has less acceleration at high speeds.

mine is the 2.0l crv 2007. been owned this car since october 2007, very low kilometres until now (not even reach 1,000 kms until now). thinking of putting airsus and 21" venerdi rims when the guarantee expired.

has good built quality compared to Toyota's car, good fuel economy.

Pros — great appearance, good fuel economy, good built quality
Cons — so-so performance

It's roomier than the previous CR-V's and has all those cool/neat hiding places for documents, mp3 players, junk, and more junk! I like the feel of the tri-spoke steering wheel. It's a smooth ride and the only downside is the cabin. Like most non-luxury cars, the cabin is a bit noisy on the freeway, but you can drown it out with your mp3 player hooked up to to the stock stereo system. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Pros — everything except the noisy cabin =[
Cons — I WANT LESS NOISE IN THE CABIN, DAMMNIT!

I find my car gets pretty good mileage for a small SUV... I get around 25
mpg combined. The interior is great for hauling around all kinds of items
and I have had no problems so far. 14000 miles so far.

Pros — Reliability, Flexible Interior, Brakes,
Cons — Acceleration at speed, climbing interstate hills with load, A/C not really
cold

Great build quality, drives and handles more like a car. Great styling and features, quite peppy considering its 4 cyl. But it gets 27mpg on the highway driving 80-90mph.

Pros — fuel mileage, features, styling
Cons — no v6 option, honda pricing.
