| “The Absolute Love Of My Life!” Reviewing:
2006 Used Ford Five Hundred SEL
I bought this car in September of 2007 from Charles Tobey who owns Angelo & Son Used Cars with 25,000 miles on it. Now, it has 45,000 miles on it and I have enjoyed every one of them. The only problem I have had with the car is tires. I go through them like M&Ms. I will have this car for another 200,000 miles if it lasts that long.
Pros —
Leather seats are super-comfortable. The sound system is great. The trunk is HUGE! The back seat is HUGE! I fit 8 people into this car easily.
Cons —
The tires. Re-sale value. Now it is a Taurus.

Have owned it for 2 years now. Its roomy, has plenty of power (I traded an 04' Mustang GT for it and its not THAT fast), well appointed, no problems. Comfy as well.
Pros —

| “When One Looks At Old-fashioned American Value, This Ford Five Hundred Is Hard To Beat!” Reviewing:
2006 Used Ford Five Hundred Limited
When the average American auto consumer in the market for a reasonably priced American sedan with most of the amenities, this Ford Five Hundred is hard to beat. It's got more room than the Chevy Impala and the Dodge Charger in terms of passenger room and trunk volume. Its build / assembly quality is as good or better than the Chevy or Dodge. It only comes up short in horsepower and poor rear brake design. And to compensate for the lack of horsepower, the fuel economy of the 3.0 L Duratec v-6 is actually a tad better . ( I'm averaging a real world 19 mpg in mostly city driving and use regular unleaded fuel). When you couple that with the Five Hundred's Mazda6-inspired / Volvo safety designed body, it becomes a very hard bargain to beat. Hopefully, Ford will redesign those rear brakes. I know they will install the 3.5 L v-6 beginning in 2008. |
