2003 Porsche Cayenne Reviews
| “Outstanding Performance On And Off-road” Reviewing:
2003 Used Porsche Cayenne Turbo
OUTSTANDING performance. Acceleration and handling were great. I drove this vehicle AND the non-turbo version upon invitation by Porsche when the vehicles were first introduced. Porsche had it set up at Pomona Fairgrounds with a short asphalt course and an off road course to demonstrate the vehicles' off-road capabilities.
Pros —
Acceleration, Handling, Braking, Off-Road Capabilities
Cons —
Cost, build quality was reported to not be very good

2003 Used Porsche Cayenne S
Driven it a few times, has the Czajka seal of approval because my brother owns one and everyone else in my family loves it. As you can imagine-it has a lot of space for the kiddy seats and good boot space for all their stuff and whatever you want to lug around in it. In those aspects it works well for the typical 4x4 driver. Added to that it has some meat behind it-those big gas guzzling engines don't do much for the environment but get you from A to B as quickly as you want and remarkably stable even at high speeds. My problem is the fact that its U-G-L-Y (which is suprising given that its a Porsche) both internally and externally. It looks like a cross between a boxster and 911 on stilts at the front, then the designers couldn't be arsed with the sides and the backend so they just decided to leave it to the work experience boy. Internally looks like a BMW-especially the dash on the passenger side. I don't like 4x4s as it is-the sheer size of them plainly annoys me-that high off the road and feeling as if they are the width of the road just takes away from the feeling of driving, it seems clinical-too far removed when driving should be about pleasure and being involved.
Pros —
Great family car, good speed, stable, safe
Cons —
Feels like your driving a tank
