1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Reviews
| “A Tad Above Mediocre. So It Gets The Job Done” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr GT Coupe
Its a cookie cutter GM W-body. 3800 V6, Front Wheel Drive, Auto Transmission ONLY, and Heavy. It does manage to be a pretty good daily driver though. It has good acceleration, and handling for such a heavy car and has plenty of space for your stuff. Gas mileage on mine is pretty woeful at 20 MPG but thats becasue the transmission no longer will shift into overdrive.
Pros —
Decent acceleration, good exhaust tone, roomy, fairly responsive handling, and pretty good looking for a 2 door on a sedan platform.
Cons —
Heavy, Front Wheel Drive, Automatic Trans, 20 MPG, Not easy on tires

| “Supercharged....nuff Said” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan
The performance speaks for itself in the word supercharged. With 240 horsepower and a performance shift option, this car SCREAMS down the road. The transmission is the 4T65e and ive never had a problem with it. The braking is good but pontiac needs to figure out the brake dust issue (on all pontiacs not just mine). The handling is great. The build quality is great. I built it and so far (knock on wood) nothing major has happened to the car. The exterior is very aggressive. My car has the factory 40th anniversary Ram Air hood on it. The interior is amazing. All leather with power and heated drivers seat, floor shift, heads up display, and a great stereo. The stereo is completely factory with 8 speaker Bose system with a factory amp in the trunk. The cost of ownership isnt that bad. Its getting about 26.4 mpg with the supercharger belt off. Yes the belt is off. My dad said not a chance. Plus I get to run Regular gas in my car. Maintenance is easy and affordable as well. Fun? Um yeah this car is a blast.
Pros —
Performance, stereo, interior, fun
Cons —
110 speedometer, dad wont let me drive with belt on

| “1999 Gtp” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan
Overall, with the GTP, there was very little to be done to it, other than maintenance. For the leaky intake manifold gaskets, was all warranty as was the leaky steering rack. It's not the fastest car on the road, or the most performance based, but for a family car, definitely one that would be at the top of my list.
Pros —
low maintenance
Cons —
heavy

| “Why I Think This Car Is Amazing” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan
I love the acceleration and responsive handling. I love the whine of the supercharger and the sensation of of your head sinking into the upholstery! this car is a been pretty reliable vehicle. The car itself is a true thing of beauty. Flared fenders
Pros —
fun handling, good accellaration, just plain fun for the money
Cons —
a little bit moody, expensive to repair

| “Great Car To Own” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GT Sedan
Good acceleration, great braking and handling. Never have to take it into the shop, burns almost no oil. Gas milage is average, about 25 city and 28 highway. I love driving this car, it has suprisingly high low end torque, which is always fun.
Pros —
Great accelleration, handling, and braking
Cons —
Nothing you cant expect from any other car

| “Mostly Stock But Very Reliable And Can Still Hold It Own For Its Class.” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GT Sedan
I Have Been Very Happy With My Pontiac Grand Prix Gt. Its Never Let Me Down. Aside From The Transmission Which Was A GM Piece Of Junk, I Have No Problems With It. It Still Looks Good For Being Almost 10 Years Old. Put In A Custom Sound System With All Sony Xplod Speakers, An Alpine Head, And A Bazooka Sub Strapped to the Back Seat Frame. It Had Its Share Of Needed Parts But I Kinda Expected That. Overall I'm Very Happy With The Grand Prix. I'm Just Sad That Pontiac Is Replacing The Grand Prix With The G8 by 2009. Don't Get Me Wrong Though, That G8 Is Cool. But I'll Miss The Grand Prix.
Pros —
-Reliable
-Powerful For Being Stock. Great 3800 GM Engine. Powerful And Built To Last. -Good Styling -Easy To Get Parts For, Thanks To GM.
Cons —
-Still Stock
-Transmission, Had To Replace At 40,000 Miles. Ended Up Replacing It With A Jasper Trans. -Some Problems That Are More Irritating Than Serious Problems. Includes Things Like Leaky Spoiler And Squeaky Dashboard. -

| “Premium Only :)” Reviewing:
1999 Used Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr GTP Supercharged Coupe
Well I like it because I get 30 mpg on the highway, run a low 13 or high 12 in the quarter mile and smoke all the boys in their "fast" toys. :)
