2002 Pontiac Montana Reviews

the nicest car i have personally owned.  i bought it for 6k and it has done me well.  i bought it from my grandmother wit 89,000 miles on it a little over a year ago.  now it has 125,000 miles on it, and still gets 30mpg out of a v6!!! nice.   i like the stereo in it,but of course i have modified it, but the stock radio was still good.  it is still in very good condition, and the interior looks great.

I love my van except for getting an answer from someone who can tell me what is going on with my lights

Reliable, practical family mover.

We have an '02 Pontiac Montana, and while it is the best looking van on the market, it was put together by gremlins.  It's the small things.  Panel lights burning out, climate control problems of not moving enough air(yes the duct work and filters have been checked and changed but did not make a difference), windshield washer fluid lines on the wipers broken, the rear hatch pull down handle broken, the side door button for the auto door broken, the front cup holder broken and rattles, brake issues (way too many to count), broken spark plug wires, worn tie rod ends (nylon material) and a poor battery (Delco).  This is just off the top of my head.  There is not enough sunshine in the day to list everything I have done to this jalopy as far as maintence goes.  And now the big thing, the head gasket is shot.  This is a $3000 bill (re problem) that GM knows about and I am in discussion with them now, as to who is going to pay for the repair. I mentioned to them that I know they knew about this issue of the gasket to them when the van had 20,000km on it (now has 118,300kms).  I have a '92 Chev Corsica that has 313,000 kms on it and if I were to get rid of a vehical it would be the van.  As far as I am concerned this was the biggest piece of gargage I have ever spent money on.  Do not buy from GM.  I was a dedicated GM guy, but no longer.
