2004 Pontiac Bonneville Reviews

Performance / economy is exceptional for a full sized sedan.  The super chaged 3.8L V6 delivers plenty of torque and averages 29 mpg on the highway.  Aesthetically, I am very pleased.  This is where the good remarks stop.  While the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, it is also the worst.  Nice and good are not synomynous.  For a near $37,000 automobile, the quality and reliability is garbage at best.  There have been multiple steering and suspension failurs, sensor failuers, ALL FOUR power window motors failed, driveability problems, and even body corrosion on this maticulously maintained and garage kept vehicle with ultra low miles!!  My old 1984 Camaro that I bought used and had been in severe accident and occasionally caught on fire was more reliable than this POS.  My wife's Cavalier which cost a fraction of the SSEi has had no problems, and her miles/year average is double mine.  GM should be embarrassed.  What a dissappointment.

This was a sweet ride.  Heated leather and suede seats.  Both front seats were power.  The best part of the car: the engine.  It was a 4.6 liter Northstar V-8.  This car, with new tires, would light up so easily.  This bad boy was so nice on the road as well.  The only bad thing was the gas type.  Paying $50 a week in premium gas was not fun.
