start driving with class It was my first car. I had to love it. As an economy import, the Altima represents a mildly
classy interior with an average exterior appearance for the year. The seats were notably
comfortable. While it may not stand out in a crowd, reliability was very important as this
was previously my dad's ride. Having high mileage didn't stop it from getting me from one
place to the next with more style than my friends who were driving older, uglier cars. It
may not be anyone's dream car, but the Nissan Altima is a great start.

1996 Used Nissan Altima 4 Dr GXE Sedan: The 1996 Altima- Fantastic Package I recieved this altima as my very first car almost two years ago. 128,500 miles later it is still as quick on the pavement ( not to mention reliable) as I'm sure it was when it rolled off the lot almost a decade ago. 1996 was the most refined of the Altima's of the first generation with the fewest defects. It's styling turns heads every once and a while and people still say "nice" The I4- K4ADE for the line comes equipped with 150 horsepower. I was sceptical of it's power to begin with, but after passing a logging truck at 100mph and scaring the hell out of myself I was proven quite wrong. The only defect in that area is the fact that any incline requires you to push the vehicle a little to make it up a gradual incline. It's perfectly fine for the daily driver despite a small amount of engine and road noise. The interior is well made and still cleans up nicely after almost 11 years. A little bland but the simulated wood grain on the dash brings a touch of class to the car. On it's introduction Nissan called it "The Affordable Luxury Sedan" I can't possibly agree with them anymore than I already do.
