2005 Nissan 350Z Reviews
2005 Used Nissan 350Z Performance: Nice car Love the sound of the engine as I stepped on the accelerator. Handling was good.
Pros: Fast, smooth ride
Cons: Not much leg room if you're tall
2005 Used Nissan 350Z Anniversary Edition: Limp-Wristed Need Not Apply This is a proper sports car. Barrel-chested V6 up front, 6-speeds in the middle (Unless you're a poser), and the driving wheels at the back. The engine feels healthy and flexible and gives you loads of smooth, buttery torque, even at 30mph in 6th. The transmission is loud and a bit vague, and the clutch feels too light for such a brutish car, but the changing action is positive and you don't get the sense of being over-synchroed. Rev matching isn't necessary but still satisfying, through the extremely sensitive throttle pedal needs some finesse. The weighted controls make it really seem like you're man-handling it when you drive it hard. The steering is especially heavy around town but lightens considerably when you load up the front tires. Electronic interference keeps you out of a hedge in the rain but is easily turned off when you want to go sideways through the gates of hell, on fire. Summary: This is a man's car.
Pros: Waves of torque, benign handling, Brembo's haul down hard and are easily modulated, heated seats during NY winters.
Cons: Reversing is an act of faith, exhaust note is more acoustic trickery than engineering finesse, every guido wants to take a picture of it with his cell phone.
Best price/performance ratio on market if you love sportscars!
You get 280/300 or 313hp (depending on year) compared to same hp of a Cayman S..but 20000 EUR cheaper! OK, its still not a Porsche and the middle-engine Cayman is a class of it's own. BUT - the Cayman, the new AudiTT and the 350Z share the same general design..but the 350Z was the first of them.
The rear of the 350Z is dirty and therefore know as one of the best drift-cars available... and I love it dirty! But anyway you may drive him safely (with ESP on) and relaxed as a daily car. But if you go to the edge it is definately more uncompromising than a Porsche which may drive every housewife with same speed. The 'Pack'-interiour comes along with great Bose-sound and 6CD-charger, Xenon, Speedcontrol etc.. no need to spend any extra dime..except GPS maybe.
Pros: Best price/performance ratio I know! For a sportscar-coupe quite a nice trunk.
Cons: I found none...
2005 Used Nissan 350Z Touring: Four wheels of fun A dream car for me. Nice V6 engine that is fast. The interior is plain and doesn't have the luxury feel, but then again, it is not a luxurious car - it is a sports car. No rear seat, unlike the G35. Again, it is a 2 seater sports car.
Pros: Sleek, cool design. Fast, and agile.
Cons: Two seater, no HOV drive ability, a little noisy inside - could use some more noise dampers.
