First Car I ever bought, '91 Escort LX (Even if the one in the stock picture is a GT model)
Pros:
Solid car, Good ride, Reliable even with the high Kms. functional, comfortable, and it had a sun roof!
Cons:
wasn't a GT model. and it had the "Standard escort rust" they all rust in the same spots...

Its not sporty, its not large, and at a whopping 89 horsepower, its not going to win any races. But if you're looking for a good daily driver, the escort is a good car for you. The 4 door LX model has a 1.9L SEFI 4 cylinder engine, and comes with either a 4 speed automatic transmission, or a 5 speed manual transmission. The LX really only means it comes with an air conditioner. The car is very clean looking and comfortable, and can really take a beating. I only gave it a low quality score because the Ford Automatic transmissions for this model of car do not hold up very well and tend to die quite often. The 5 speed manual does not have this problem. The car handles well for what it is, and will do almost anything you want it to do assuming you're not racing the thing.
Pros:
Clean, Comfortable, Tough, and Parts are easy to find. Good Daily Driver.
Cons:
Automatic Transmission is poorly designed. The Climate control system is a pain in the butt to work on because you have to take the dash out to get to it, Versus it being behind the glove box in the Ford Ranger.

I absolutely loved this car!!!! I acctually wish I had never gotten rid of it. For being a little car the 4 cyl always had a little extra get up and go. The 5 speed was great for gas mileage. Never really had any major problems with this car. One trip I made a 90 mile jog in under an hour and still got 37 mpg!!!
Pros:
Great gas mileage.
Cons:
Not so great interior room.

In the end a good car with a strong engine (1.6). Had it for a month or so. Rare with a two doors configuration. Sold for almost nothing but sure it will last for years to come. Powersteering would have been nice...

I really love my car - lol But im afraid it will not last for long, it´s really dangerous to drive in, but I really need it for a few more months, then I will burn the rubber of it´s skin, just to have some fun - ha ha ha

88 gas sipping horsepower, smooth ride, in my opinion it looks good, low km... well it was
Cons:
fairly slow, door and hatch locks freeze horribly, subs rattle seatbelt motors, rust starting to come out,,,, damn winter occasional engine ticking upon startup for a few minutes in cold weather
