owned the sable for six years,put 75,000 of its 102,00 miles virtual trouble free. great handling,full power,good acceleration.Interior trim not so hot,plastic door cover pulls out when door closes. After fifteen years it is still a great handling car.

I shared this car with my family until I crashed it. My first crash. Yes, it was my fault. This car was a decent sedan for its age. It had a V6, so its fuel economy was average. It safely transported us for years. Then, I crashed it.
I was making a left turn on a snowy afternoon. I looked away for just one second, and then this car was stopped right in front of me. I stomped on the brakes and guess what? The Sable slid and rear-ended a Mercury wagon hard. As a result, the wagon jabbed yet another Mercury (minivan) in the rear. Three Mercurys involved in one crash. Hoo-wee.
Our Mercury was already in bad shape, and my crash made it very expensive to repair. So, we just gave it up to our trusted technician and got a little money for it.

1993 Used Mercury Sable 4 Dr GS Sedan: Great reliable car We loved it. Handled great in the snow with the right tires (ditch the Generals that it came with)
