| “Worked For Me” Reviewing:
1994 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr Eddie Bauer 4WD SUV
I bought this SUV used from a friend to tow my Civic race car and serve as a vehicle for snowboarding. It was beat up when I bought it for $2.5k, we put in a new motor, wheel bearings and brakes.
Pros —
good work hourse and beater up SUV
Cons —
handling and ride was rough like a truck

| “True Ford Built Reliabilty In A 90's Suv!” Reviewing:
1994 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV
This SUV was bought for $500 to be used a winter beater. The interior of the car was shot, having succumbed to use for work, hauling dead deer, going off-roading, and even an electrical fire. The body was not in the best shape, with the rocker panels and rear wheel wells rotting. However, with 160,000 miles on it, the 4.0L V6 and the 4 speed auto transmission kicked as strong as ever. A simple change of differential gears helped this cause, and the four wheel drive worked excellent. I also found the leather all power drivers seat (with lumber support) in this 1994 vehicle MORE comfortable than the seat in my 2001 Mustang. Funny, huh? The car handled very rough at higher speeds, due to its boxy size and its need of a front end alignment. However, it proved to be reliable (like all Fords are) in even the worst snow conditions.
Pros —
Excellent reliability, comfort
Cons —
Bulky size made for lower mpg, and harder to keep straight at higher speeds.

| “Great, Reliable, Pet Friendly, Boom Boom Stereo, Low Miles And You Have To Love Ford.” Reviewing:
1994 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV
Ford rocks. The interior is cloth, I would prefer leather, however the cloth is nice for my dog, for the backseat, he likes to go back and forth to the rolled down windows. Automatic windows, great handling, I only have had to use my 4 wheel drive twice this season and it was going up the canyons. Its great when there is no payments involved and everything is pretty new. Second owner.
Pros —
orig 74k miles, buddy loves it, new engine and pretty much new tranny.
Cons —
Not as fast as my mustangs.

| “Best Vehicle Ever Owned” Reviewing:
1994 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr Limited 4WD SUV
Has provided 7 years of reliable use with $ spent on exhaust, some body work, battery, wheel bearing and 4WD maintenance. Have owned longer than all previous vehicles owned and would keep except for body rust. Enough power from 4L V-6 for my use. Great visibility for driver and very maneuverable in tight spots. Not great on deteriorating paved roads.
Pros —
Comfortable, flexible use, reliable
Cons —
Poor economy, rust shows after 10 years

| “A Good Sturdy Starting Car For Anyone, But Freeway Driving Is Hell.” Reviewing:
1994 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XL 4WD SUV
So this was my first car, old, lots of miles, practically a tank, and it drove like one too. The power steering was pretty bad. But it was a good old car. Would I drive one again? Hell no. It was a starting car, and that's about all it was good for.
Pros —
Reliable, big, lots of cargo room
Cons —
horrible steering, poor mileage, not really a looker.
