1995 Ford Taurus Reviews
“Build Quality Not The Best. Body/interior Well Thought Out For A Family Hauler.”
Owned since 1999. These cars do not have good resale value and the 3.8L motor had a bad reputation for blowing the head gasket. Mine was replaced under warranty. The engine is a real bear to work on. Replaced shocks/suspension, motor mounts, starter (twice), water pump, fan belt, muffler, and various pulleys. Car has been generally reliable but I've had to have it towed three times over last 8 years. Overall build quality can't compare to the imported Japanese cars I've owned. Rear seat leg room is not adequate for adults, despite the car's large size.
was awesome back in 1989 when it was first introduced. Now, it can't outperform an accord or sonata.
This car went through so much! It's also been hit to many times and has never had a dent except for the deer and being totalled!
“It's Been In My Family Since I Was In 5th Grade Now I"m A High School Senior”
It's a pretty good car aside from some of the lights that don't shut off when the car is on, on the dash
I love this car so much and ppl call me crazy. this is the best body of the 3 SHO generations. This car has A 3.0L DOHC Yamaha engine with 220HP and 200 foot pounds. The car also came with a 3.2L but that was for the automatics and the autos had its share of problems. This car can do 140+ from factory and get 28mpg on the highway(i can personally vouch for both of these). Its bigger than the mustang but as long as the mustang isn't a cobra or have a H/O 5.0 this car will toast them.
