1995 Ford Taurus Reviews
| “1995 Ford Taurus Sho (3.2l Auto)” Reviewing:
1995 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr SHO Sedan
It was a great car...except for the fact that it ws breaking down all the time. My car had been kept in a garage by the previous owner for over a year. Unfortunately we didn't know this until after we realized the power steering lines had dry-rotted. It performed wonderfully though! Repairs tend to be half-again as expensive compared to most other cars.
Pros —
Performance, handling, appearance.
Cons —
Cost of repair, abusive previous owners.

1995 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr SHO Sedan
this car is the bomb. even though its 13 years old, and only has 220 hp, 200 ft-lbs, itll hold its own against many brand new cars. this car can hit 60 in around 6.5 seconds. not bad for a front-wheel-drive car with this low of power.
Pros —
Powerful, handles extremely well, roomy, comfortable...
Cons —
Has a couple of rattles. Needs some of the details finished off in order to be a perfect car.

| “My Car” Reviewing:
1995 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr GL Sedan
I have beat the crap out of this car and it keeps going, its great, though it needs work and is questionable for how long it will keep working, the transmission slips and every once in a while sticks in first, the struts are shot and are expensive (around $900 parts and labor) but even with everything it keeps running, the radiator cracked a while back, but that was fixed with some stop leak (it was actually the water holding tank), I have had to replace the thermostat, and the AC has died but its still a pretty good car. it has been run for around 140k miles and many times has gone on dirt roads and been bounced and beat.
Pros —
takes a beating and keeps working
Cons —
struts are pricey

| “Taurus Wagon, The Unknown Gold” Reviewing:
1995 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr LX Wagon
This car is very cheap. NOBODY wants a wagon, therefore I was able to purchase a moderately conditioned Taurus Wagon. The car only had 74,000 miles. This car guzzles gas like it is going out of style, and is fun to drive. I can peel out quite nicely for a grand, and tight turns are very interesting. This car is not sporty at all, but is still great.
Pros —
Price, Size
Cons —
Not Sporty, Bad Gas Mileage

| “Build Quality Not The Best. Body/interior Well Thought Out For A Family Hauler.” Reviewing:
1995 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr LX Wagon
Owned since 1999. These cars do not have good resale value and the 3.8L motor had a bad reputation for blowing the head gasket. Mine was replaced under warranty. The engine is a real bear to work on. Replaced shocks/suspension, motor mounts, starter (twice), water pump, fan belt, muffler, and various pulleys. Car has been generally reliable but I've had to have it towed three times over last 8 years. Overall build quality can't compare to the imported Japanese cars I've owned. Rear seat leg room is not adequate for adults, despite the car's large size.
Pros —
well thought out rear liftgate. Driving position is comfortable even on long trips. Power is adequate for intended use. LX package well optioned out. Clear headlights were ahead of their time and looked good. The coin tray and cupholders are useful and well designed. Roof racks are strong and don't interfere with the looks of the car. Other people have had bad luck with Ford Taurii but ours just won't die.
Cons —
delay wiper control awkward to use. Rear wiper control even more awkward. Engine is not laid out well for working on. Gas mileage is lousy - a 2003 Chev Astro Van, with driver and 7 passengers, gets better mileage, and has a much larger (4.3L) engine.

was awesome back in 1989 when it was first introduced. Now, it can't outperform an accord or sonata.
Pros —
no payment, cheap insurance, 22 mpg average, very reliable
Cons —
old
