1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reviews
| “Great Vehicle On And Off The Roads” Reviewing:
1997 Used Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 Dr Laredo 4WD SUV
Ive always wanted a Grand Cherokee, seeing as it was the first car i ever drove. So when i saw one sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign, i knew i had to get it. 101000 miles, and only a couple of small scratches in the paint. it also helped that the previous owner is a mechanic at the local Dodge & Jeep dealership, and he put a lot of work into it before putting it up for sale. its got great acceleration for an suv, and its got a straight 6 cyl. engine in it, so its got some power. i love taking it through the woods down trails and everything, just exploring, and it makes it quite a ways with just 2 wheel drive. i have needed the 4wd a few times, mostly just for driving through major mud puddles. ahhh cranberry bogs.. as far as the build quality, you kind of have to go easy on them. they hold up great on the roads, but the trails can be rough. gas milage is ok, around 18mpg average. maintenance is fairly inexpensive, as long as you know the right mechanic. its a sweet looking car too. the classic jeep grill, small wheelbase, and the plastic trim along the bottom of the body, it all comes together. interior is spacious, plenty of room to stretch out. and the seats are so comfortable. its really a car you can feel safe driving.
Pros —
spacious, comfortable, easy to drive
Cons —
bouncy, and ive heard they roll over pretty easy

| “Great Suv And Off Road Vehicle” Reviewing:
1997 Used Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 Dr Limited 4WD SUV
This vehicle is always reliable and handles anything you throw at it. From mud, snow and sand, it can handle it all. It takes rough roads at 60 mph with ease and handles amazingly on the highway. From back roads at 50 mph to those times when you need a little more...like 115 mph, this thing has it.
Pros —
reliable
Cons —
bad MPG

My Jeep rocks. The only thing is the gas mileage at 17 mpg highway and $4 a gallon gas there is no way a person can drive an SUV which is why we down sized to a cavalier, blech. Fun to drive? the jeep, heck yea!
Pros —

Cons —
gas milage sucks

| “Wonderfully Reliable And Solid Vehicle, One I Can Trust.” Reviewing:
1997 Used Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 Dr Limited 4WD SUV
This model is a wonderful combination of power and longevity both on the road and off. I opted for the 4WD Inline-6 model for the reason of the engine's reputation. The 4.0 Jeep engine has received wonderful reviews from multiple organizations and auto magazines in its time. It is a large and very functional motor providing sufficient horsepower for the classic feel of Jeep acceleration, and enough torque for a fun weekend off-road.
Pros —
Wonderful off-road handling completely stock, not a rock-crawler, obviously, but pretty much anything else I have presented it, it has been able to handle.
Cons —
Just gas mileage, which is not a significant negative factor for me.
