It's been a great vehicle to use. Great to car pool
people around in and to store equipment in. When I
saw it in the lot, I knew it was The Jeep for me. And it
was a great deal!!! It has a lot of features in it s well as
leather seats.

Pros — Great to store all my media equipment in.
Cons — None really.

I drove this car back to a dealership to help out a collegue who borrowed it for a week-end. I immediately fell in love with the 2.7L 5-cilinder Mercedes Benz turbodiesel powerplant under the bonnet. It's lowdown grunty roar sounds very good (for a diesel, 5-cilinder petrol engines sound even better). It has a lot of character, but also power and couple. It had no difficulty to move this tractor around town (yes, the preferred habitat of the SUV) at inspiring speeds. The automatic gearbox goes very well together with the engine.
The seats are a bit too wide for an average European (1m80, 75kg), and with the all leather interior, you feel lucky the car doesn't corner that fast that you start sliding from one end to another in the driver's seat. The ride is comfortable, although you feel this car was originally designed to be robust and conquer any kind of road (even non-existing ones),... except for paved roads.
It's far from perfect, but I love it anyway.

Pros — Looks, practical interior, luxourious, offroad capabilities
Cons — Plastic interior, finishing, harsh ride, vibrations, not suited for urban traffic.

It is only a v6 thus it does not perform like the Porshe that I would like to be driving in.  It does not use up to much gas however which is great.  I love it in the winter as it takes me snowboarding.  It is what I always looked for in an SUV.  Love the black on black.  The leather is very nice and comfy.  It has not had any repairs but I think it has a short now.  It rides very well, even on curves, I have been in two accidents with it, one where I went off road with it and I did not roll it like most people do.  The suspension is good for a mid range SUV, I have gone off road with it and it rides very well.  The 2003 is a great year as it is not a limited but it has more accessories than the 2004 Limited.

Pros — Suspension, Gas mileage for an SUV, comfortable, driver friendly,
Cons — A bit slugish

Reviewing: 2003 Used Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

I've driven my grandparents 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo several times, and it's amazing. It has great performance, with amazing handling, power, and responsive brakes. I've never noticed any poor build quality. It looks and feels very solid. Maintenance is very straight forward, and easy. The interior is great for a family, or even a bunch of friends. However as far as accessories and the look of the dash, it's somewhat bland looking. The exterior looks great for any Jeep model. It's definitely fun to drive, not only on roads, but in places where you need 4WD.

Pros — Handling, power, looks, interior
Cons — Bland looks of the dash

TOO MUCH GAS!!! Wallet is officially empty! Thought of trading it in for a car but realised.....I HATE CARS!! OMG!  It seems everyone likes my truck, because its NEVER in the driveway!

Pros — kicks ass on the road, navigates its way around idiots with no problem
Cons — need a REALLY long gas pump hose!

This is the 2.7LiterMercedes Benz diesel engined Jeep. Great fuel economy for a car this size. The engine has great torque and fairly good 4X4 capabilities. The seats in this Jeep are the most comfortable seats in any car I have ever owned.

Pros — Comfort
Cons — Cost to fix

Here's what I've experienced: the brakes jerk, sometimes the traction on my tires goes out, and I blew out the stereo. Oops.

Pros — Comfortable, low-maitenance
Cons — No auto-windshield wipers, jerky brakes

Cant fault this really, bit of a gas guzzler but a real head turner with the subtle bits of crome and super throaty engine.

Pros — Poser!
Cons — Less than 20mpg with the throaty 4.8 liter engine.
