1997 Honda Accord Reviews
| “All Around Good Car” Reviewing:
1997 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr LX Sedan
Its nice, a good reliable car with like 28 miles to the gallon. Shifting in a stick is fun, this car has some pretty good pep. There are a lot of good things about this car... Almost no maintenance needed. The beauty of a Honda of course.. Just give it gas and go
Pros —
Reliability
Cons —
I need to replace the clutch soon.

| “5th Generation Accord” Reviewing:
1997 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr LX Sedan
Only modifications that I did to my car that kept the car in an inspectable state were cat back exhaust and cold air intake system. This made the car sound great. I averaged 0-60 times of about 6.5 - 7 seconds which is not bad for a car that gets over 30 mpg. Although the car had over 160,000 miles, the maintenance costs were minimal. It was very fun to drive and was a great first car for me.
Pros —
Fuel efficiency, easily modified, fun to drive, low maintenance costs, good performance
Cons —
I would have loved it in a convertible.

| “According To Me.” Reviewing:
1997 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr EX Sedan
First off, I <3 my Honda. These are some of the most reliable cars on the road. I haven't had a problem with this car and the odometer reads a scant 225,000 miles. :D The interior is ergonomically designed, everything is in reach and easy to adjust. I would have to say the exterior is one of the best looking cars of it's time, and even now. I have done some cosmetic modifications that really make it look aggressive. But it's a far cry from The Fast And The Furious. (thankfully, I hate those stupid ricers :P) On to performance, this car is not crazy fast (remember is a family sedan) but when it has the 5-speed manual transmission, it's a peppy car. It accepts modifications like it's own, and you really notice a difference when you install just a few bolt-ons. Left stock you will get about 32mpg on the highway, and even with a few mods it still returns the amount or even greater if it's properly tuned. It really just sips the gas. :) Though it's not the fastest car it is certainly one of the most fun to drive. The steering is exact, the brakes are strong and pedal feel is solid, and when you need to get on the highway, there is plenty of power to get you up to speed quickly. All in all this is a great car to have, it's reliable, good looking, and fun to drive.
Pros —
Everything`
Cons —
This Generation of accords has an issue with the front power windows. Thy are slow and sometimes they quit working all together. But that's a small issue for such a great car.

| “The Quintessential "nice Car"” Reviewing:
1997 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr Special Edition Sedan
Purchased car used in 2004, with 67,000 miles on it. It was in good condition, except for the alloy wheels. The wheels that Honda equipped all the '97 SE Accords with are prone to corrosion. Almost every other SE Accord I see has the same problem. Other than that, I love the car. At this point, it has 115,000 miles on it. My only concern is the clunky gearchanges from the automatic transmission.
Pros —
Still attractive after all these years. Solid build quality and reliability.
Cons —
Honda made a bad choice of alloys for this model.

| “Not Bad For My First "financed" Car.” Reviewing:
1997 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr Special Edition Sedan
This was the first car I ever financed and I grew quite attached to it in the 8 short months I had it. It would be paid for if I had kept it, though. Overall, it was a good car. I don't think it had ABS, and the brakes were pretty spongy. It was loaded out for a car its age. It had power windows & locks, a sunroof, keyless entry and a CD player. I bought it with 68k miles on it and got rid of it at 83k miles. The transmission started slipping around 79k and the dealer there couldn't seem to find the problem (because they were retarded and tried to insult my intelligence). I also had the driver's side power window motor replaced. It was a beautiful car and was always clean inside and out.
Pros —
Nice looking car, lots of features, dependable, great "first car"
Cons —
Grossly underpowered engine, transmission issues at only 79k miles, weak power window motors (that were known for failing)
