1999 Used Honda Accord 4 Dr EX Sedan
All I was told by friends is that it made them think about sex... The little four banger was tweaked and sounded like an SCCA race car. With all the suspension mods (tokiko all around) the car felt like a Mini Cooper. For an automatic tranny, you could easily launch from neutral at 4000 rpm and not hear a single gring or bang. Great car!
Pros —
Excellent base car to start mods. High reving VTEC 2.3 lt inline 4 (the V6 is too nose heavy). Full exhaust from header to tail pipes. 4-2-1 header and 2 1/4" stainless exhaust. Custom fabricated cool air intake tube. Dropped it 1 1/4" front and 1 1/2" rear. Handled like a slot car. Strut tower braces and swaybar bushings.
Cons —
It was black (showed every blemish), automatic tranny.

its slow. But it gets me where I need to go and gets decent gas mileage while doing it. Has gotten through my family for almost 10 years (my mother being the original owner). The only mechanical failures it has had other than routine maintenance is a catalytic converter.
