It is my first car. I got it with 126k miles, for me it has great performance, though I wish it had better acceleration. It looks like a very nice car for a sixteen year old to have, and the inside is nice, not leather though, I replaced the head unit so I could get more/better speakers. Great gas mileage and little maintenance. Out of six flags this car would get four.

i've driven this car for 8 years and own it out right. i've lowered it with Koni yellow's and Eibach pro-kit springs. The headlights are TYC black housing's with true projector lenses. Pretty much all the basics are added; we've got the AEM v2 cai , Front Neuspeed strut bar, 45% and 30% tinting front to back respectively, and an HKS cat back exhaust on the way. interior if full of alpine and rockford fosgate

The 2000 Honda Accord coupe is a amazing machine. I have had this baby up to speeds that exceed my expectations and I still dont know how fast she will go *cough* *cough* My car is completly bone stock, and even though its got 4 long gears to go through it stomps to 60 in roughly 7.4 seconds....not too shabby. Shes got 200 Horses under the hood and they beg to be released. One thing I dislike about the car is its tingy exhaust sound when reved in neutral. I dont know if my car needs a tune up but it sounds like a jet engine turbine  or a electric race car, LOL. Its got more weight in the front than a 98' Corolla (which was the car I drove before this one and the corolla is 50/50 balanced) and I notice when in high speed cornering the accord gets held up on the previous turn when you are trying to execute the next. It rides beautifully on long trips, I have taken a full load of people (4...not 5, I think 5 would be uncomfortable) to Nevada long trips on I-80 and never a complaint, on long rides its just super comfy.

I l-o-v-e the expanse of windshield - actually glass period.   Though it does make concentrating difficult
when driving west after a big lunch ;)

This car still has the double-wishbone suspension going on too, so it is classic Honda responsiveness.

There are some electrical gremlins from time to time.  Like the radio sometimes decides to change
stations.  Yes, it's 8 years old, but it only has 78,000 miles.

The wheels are too darned small!  I'm not looking for bling 19-inchers, but the 14" rims cause the car to
stumble over itself on the oh-so-lovely roads of Pittsburgh.

Honda has some ergonomic foibles that have been worked out in newer models, like the cupholder
situation.  I also am not a fan of how they handled the instrument lighting in this model.  It's got front
lighting instead of back?

Extremely reliable car. Great gas mileage (easily 30 mpg, well over that on freeway trips, man it just keeps going and going...). Honda did an excellent job in designing the rear differently from the four-door, and the double wishbone suspension in the front is definitely a plus and makes the ride that much better. Styling on the outside is simple but graceful, and the interior is adequate but still satisfying. I'll always be grateful for the moonroof. Handling is peppy, as well as the engine. Overall, give this car a little bit of TLC and it'll go a loooonnng way.
