2.4L Auto 4 Speed. Installed my sub so it sounds a lot better.
Wish I would have to the bigger engine and 6speed auto
trans. Have enjoyed it so far. Think about tinting the windows
and will be getting better tires hopefully.

Pros: Better gas milage than I am use too.
Cons: Little Sluggish

Fuel economy is great, CarGurus is wrong on this one. I get 35+ on the highway with the 4cyl.
This is one of the best cars I've owned.
The interior is Quite stylish and practical.
The back seats is plenty big for tall adults.
The trunk is quite spacious (dont let people tell you the opening is too small, because its not that bad)

Pros: Fuel Economy, Quietness, Features
Cons: Electronic Steering

When my Tribute was wrecked I had this for a week for a rental car thanks to Progressive Insurance. I really liked it, the blue cabin light were a really neat touch especially at night. Overall the car was great to drive, but was hard to get in and out of since I am pretty tall.

Pros: Outer Appearance, Blue cabin lights, MPG ok
Cons: The lowness of the car

like it; great interior.  fun to drive.  don't like the light titanium interior.  Inside of car is too bright. I wanted to buy an American car to help the industry, and to show Obama he can't kill the American car indistry

Pros: Color and options
Cons: Interior color

Last 2 cars I owned were a Toyota Camry and a Honda Accord.  I compared the Malibu to both and chose it for a variety of reasons (looks, price, performance, price and gas mileage.  The interior is beautiful! it truly has a sporty/upscale look of more expensive sport sedans. I never expected to buy a Chevy but took a look after many of the reviews I had seen online. This car way exceeds my expectations.  Just returned from 1000 mile road trip and did as good as 34mpg. The 4 cyclinder suprised me with it's power and quietness and makes it a joy to drive.  Big Kudos on wind noise as I have never experienced a better vehicle at reducing wind noise.  GM has made huge strides with the Malibu.   I love it inside and out and would highly recommend it.

Pros: Looks, especially interior, features, mpg is great!
Cons: none I can think of.

My new 2009 Malibu LTZ is a joy to look at both inside and out. Beautifully designed and appointed. It has all the bells and whistles. From a performance standpoint it is smooth, solid, and quiet. The six speed transmission gives this car a lot of pep. You can feel and smell (yes smell) the quality of this car. GM and the Chevy engineers appear to have gotten dead serious about making the Malibu a very competative high quality mid size package. This car is the real deal. Most of my driving has been city with a few 30-50 mile highway trips. I've been averaging around 29.8 mpg since my March 18th purchase.

Pros: Plenty
Cons: I have not found one yet

I can't imagine how fast the V6 must be, our car has the 4 cylinder matched with the 6-speed automatic transmission and got 33 mpg on the first road trip. It's fast, sharp, and comfortable to drive. the seats have bolsters and hold you as well on a trip as my corvette. We have about 6,000 trouble-free miles.

Pros: styling and mpg
Cons: cupholders too close together

I have the 4cyl. 6 speed. The acceleration, while not stunning, can only be explained as smooth. The brakes instill a lot of confidence. The build quality is fantastic and the ride is nothing short of luxurious. I'm still getting used to the car, so the fun factor is still increasing. It handles much better than I originally realized. The electrically assisted steering was odd at first, but I've found it to be very responsive. It carves out curves with poise for a family sedan.

Pros: phenomally quiet and smooth ride
Cons: single zone climate control

It's great for my kiddo. Lots of good saftey features. It gets decent gas mileage, better than my G6 GTP. It's a 'mommy' car, though. no acceleration, no style. At night, the interior looks like a space ship! It's all grays and silvers with blue LEDs all over. Most of all, though, my boy looks safe and happy. Plus he can see out of the windows, now!

Pros: Safe, reliable, good MPG
Cons: slow, plain, boring
