| “Sho Taurus” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr SHO Sedan
Mufflers are way too loud!!!!!... but that's probably because there's a hole in them. Punch it and you will hit 55 MPH in first gear at just under 8K RPM. She grab's 2nd and it pulls you up to 80 mph....3rd...well...the speedo only goes up to 120. Car & Driver magazine says it will do 144 MPH. Someday I'll race Jessica's WRX...we'll see!!!!!
Pros —
acceleration, cornering (ask Dave Mandell....he tried it out)
Cons —
shifts at 7900 RPM when it's floored

1999 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr SE Sedan
This car is a reliable car to get you form point a to point b. although its not exactly the quickest car i ever droven. The build quality is alright only had a starter kick out on me which isn't unusaly cause its a 99 and i'm not complaining. Gas mileage is super for a 6 cylinder i've gotten 43 my best on highway and 41 worst conditions. Fun to drive though very good handling in terms of performance/road course driving.

Cons —
slow..not the quickest car out their for sure.

I have only had the car for about a month but so far it has been great

moonroof, leather, lots of space, and decent performance
Cons —
Not exactly the biggest fan of Fords but it is growing on me

I am fairly impressed with the car, I have had some problems with mine, but I bought it second hand and I am not sure how many of the problems were from that. I have had to replace the rack and pinion at 97,000 but that is about the only real problem I have had with it. |

For a 24Valve 3.0L v6 the cars performance is surprisingly pathetic. The interior seemed to hold up decently after 130k plus miles of beening driven. The stock sound system wasnt all bad execpt for the fact that compact disc wasnt a standard feature. Honestly the car doesnt deserve the SE "Special Edition" badge that Ford gave it.

Comfy for long trips.

Everything else.

This car was great for all the years I had it. Great gas mileage and smooth ride. Expect problems to arise with this car as it's almost 10 years old now....
Pros —
Fuel economy, ride, handling, legroom and large trunk.
Cons —
A little too low to the ground for taller people. Tough to get a good view through the round rear window. Some interior and exterior parts were a bit on the cheap side.

like i said before, i do not trust my car. doesnt seem like a very good car; however it is a high milage old-ish car. only worth bout $3000.
