1999 Ford Ranger Reviews
| “1999 Ford Ranger Big Bass” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT 4WD Extended Cab Stepside SB
I bought it in 2005 with 79,000 miles on it. I've put 40,000 on since. I have a Rockford Fosgate P1 15" sub with a 1000 watt Kole Audio amplifier, but i still have the stock stereo because it sounds really good. I like this truck for its size and handling, but it could use more in the power department.
Pros —
Stereo And handling
Cons —
Horse Power

1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT 4WD Standard Cab Stepside SB
My first truck had to be small yet able to haul a bunch of crap. My blue Ranger was just that. I had a great time helping friends and family (and eventually myself) move from town to town. As gas prices soured, I needed something that got more the 15-18 miles per gallon. I'll miss it!
Pros —
Hauling ability
Cons —
Less interior room than a closet

1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT 4WD Extended Cab Stepside SB
I really hate my mileage for the little performance I get out of it. The truck is really quiet, but has no balls. I love the looks of the stepside box, but functionally, it is not very useful. Then again, I don't use the bed in practical use very often.
Pros —
Looks cool; the cab holds 2 comfortably 3 a little squished, and 5 legally
Cons —
Performance, Mileage, Ease of Service
Great Deals

| “Nearly Bulletproof” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab Stepside SB
In nine years I've taken this truck from Chicago to the east coast and back and to and from the Twin Cities and it's still going strong.
Pros —
Reliable, great city truck that's small enough to park on the street, but big enough to be useful.
Cons —
Not much jump with the smallest engine, a few minor quirks with age.

| “Dependable - Ride” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XL Standard Cab SB
It is a wonderful car that gets me from point A to point B. I love the way that it handles. It handles like a car for steering and braking but drives like a truck with the 4x4. A reasonable vehicle for a first one. Works, runs, and looks great! What more would I want in a vehicle?
Pros —
Drives like a car, but has the power of a truck!
Cons —
May drive like a car but it dont have the same gas mileage as one

| “Great Truck” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XL Standard Cab LB
awesome truck to own if you are interested in doing a lot of work, but lack finances, and need something economical. always was able to lug anything i put in it. it once had a Go Kart, Dirt Bike, a canoe, and a sailboat behind it and still kept going. not bad at all.
Pros —
good work truck. never had any trouble.
Cons —
slow, not greatest handling, and not something to really have fun in.
