2000 Ford Ranger Reviews
| “2000 Ford Ranger” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab SB
Best small pickup I have ever driven, though i do wish it was offered with at the very least 4.6L V8 if not the 5.0L from the explorer of the same year. It was a great car to drive with great gas mileage, and the 5 speed transmission was tons of fun on winding roads.
Pros —
Fun, economical truck to drive, looks great.
Cons —
Could offer a V8 since the explorer of the same year has one.

| “Perfect Truck” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab SB
This Truck is an amazing truck. It will get you anywhere you need it too. It rides smooth and it handles very well off-road...even though mine is just a 2WD. It is also a I4 5spd Manual so it does very well on gas. It is a very economical truck for any college student. It does very well on gas. The truck brakes very smooth, has an amazing trun radius. It is built solid with little maintenence. The interior is typical for a truck. The earlier models design was not as good and Ford really ddint make any changes to it until the newer 2007 model year. Now the truck looks absolutely amazing. I would reccomoend this as a first car and for college students.
Pros —
Reliable Truck
Cons —
body design could be better

| “Moyer's Ranger” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT 4WD Extended Cab Stepside SB
I love my truck, altough its a little sluggish on power, but what do you expect from a 3 liter. Te truck is built very well, and handles like a dream. The only downsides are that it doesn't have a whole lot of power and the gas milage wasn't what i was expecting
Pros —
Good solid truck
Cons —
small engine

| “Drifting” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Standard Cab SB
Great truck for drifting in the snow. In Michigan tons of snow and ice you want to drift. Get a Ranger. Also dirt roads are not too much of a problem unless you do 75 mph. I love this truck when it dies all get another Rear-Wheel- Drive car thanks to my Ford Ranger
Pros —
its fun
Cons —
costs money because of the cars and mailboxes you run down

| “Yes” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab Stepside SB
The 3.0L SOHC FFV engine is very reliable and has good torque, but slow. Never had a problem with the engine or components. The tranny is weak but gets the job done. Handles like a tank but dropping it 8'' doesnt help that. Can take a turn like a champ! The brakes are aftermarket bc of the 20'' wheels i managed to squeeze in there, but work good. The frame of the truck is very solid along with the rear axle. The inside is pretty nice. The look of the truck is very eye pleasing with nice body lines and curves. Rangers can look real nice when done right. I got the truck with 45,000 miles for $8,000. I think thats pretty good. Also it gets 23-26 mpg highway. Maintance is regular. The truck is fun to drive around town, shows, smooth roads, and turns. I love drivin mini trucks!
Pros —
good mpg, light truck, offroad
Cons —
3.0L pretty slow, is a little on the heavy side for a light truck, doesnt have 4 comfortable seats

| “Good Standard Truck That's Neiher Too Big Or Too Small.” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab SB
I would recommend this truck to anyone looking for a mid-size truck. It's kind of short, but it has more comfort for longer rides as it rides more like a car than a full-size truck.
Pros —
Good, reliable, solid mid-size truck.
Cons —
Gas mileage averages 18 mpg and that's about the same as full-size trucks. For the same mileage, I would rather have a larger truck that has a higher towing capacity.

| “My 2000 Ford Ranger” Reviewing:
2000 Used Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Standard Cab Stepside SB
I love my truck because it has been extremely faithful. Even after all this time it still looks almost new and it still runs great! The only thing is that it's a 4-cylinder and I wish it had a little more power.
