One of the best fords around in my opinion. Its a real nice looking hatchback which looks good both interior and exterior.
Lots of luggage space!
Pretty quick, especially through 2nd and 3rd
Good MPG's, can do around 50+ if driven like a nun!
Fun to drive, its solid and handles well.

The only real complaint I have about my car is that the paint SUCKS!! It was poorly applied at the factory and now it's in the process of peeling off at the fenders; the hood looks like it has hair in it and the roof looks like it's been washed with sandpaper.
Performance-wise, the car is a blast to drive. It may not be the fastest machine to burn up a road, but the Focus corners like it's a go-cart. Braking leaves something to be desired, with small, single piston disc brakes in front and puny, almost embarassing drums in the rear. My particular car doesn't have ABS.
Cargo space is good, I can load up a week's worth of camping for me and my girlfriend, take lumber, move beds (up to queen-size!) or haul Ikea stuff home (if I take it outta the box and build it around my son)!
Fuel economy is good, I get about 500 kms out of a 50 litre tank, The best range I've obtined was 618 kms.
For a car that hardly costs anything to purchase, It's a stellar buy. Resale value (being an American car) is deplorable; you can buy a 2000 Focus these days for less than four grand Canadian.But, my cost of ownership is almost nothing. I've put on one set of tires, one set of brakes, one timing belt (it snapped at 200,000 kms), one ignition lock cylinder spark plugs (that was 100,000 kms ago-it's due again) and regular oil changes. It needs shocks at all corners and rear springs, but it's 8 years old with 212,000 kns on it, so I can't complain.
I would (and have!) recommend this car to anyone looking for something cheap, reliable, good on gas and most of all, FUN! to drive.

This was my first car. It's nice looking and provides good service. Has a lot of room for passengers and in the trunk. The only drawback that I found was it's lack of acceleration. Services are economic. Has good fuel economy. I'd recommend it to a friend. Nice nice nice.

it needs to b faster!! but the overall performance is great.
no repairs so far exept for craking my 18's. interior and exterior r amazing. greatgas mialage. its amazing 2 sit behind the wheel of my car. my sound system is great. 2 15 inch kicker comps. and a sponsership from audio express.

This is my first baby. Eight years old and I still see it as a new car. I will drive it to it's death, or trade it in and upgrade it for another sporty five speed.

It's fun to drive, though don't race anyone while you're using the A/C as that sucks all the power! Nowadays 130hp does not seem like a lot, but it's all in your reaction time, to be first off the line! Plus my son loves it when I accelerate fast! (He loves cars!)

I have no idea what the cost of ownership is compared to other cars in it's class. It's a money pit, as all the parts have reached their life expectancy.

Build Quality: In the beginning it was recall hell. Note to self: never buy a car in it's first model year, too many trips back to the dealer, I was on a first name basis with the service department.

Interior: steam cleaned and detailed this summer. I love a
clean car.

Exterior: Often mistaken as a new car as the exterior styling has not changed much. Though with all the door dings and dents from other people's cars and rouge rocks hitting the car; it's looking it's age. New windshield slated for spring '09, if the crack does not spread any futher.
