 Car is amazing to drive. There's really no comparison to driving an E30, there are no blindspots, the car is compact and nimble and has exceptionally responsive steering. Dubbed the baby M3, the 318is was the somewhat affordable alternative to the M-series car. The M42 engine has a strong pick-up and a powerband between ~3800-->4500 RPM. The car turns on a dime too, amazing turning radius.
Pros:
Can't beat E30 styling, Handling is light and responsive, and acceleration is strong
Cons:
Parts are fairly expensive, and somewhat harder to find than say a Civic.

 This car is actually a 96 model, with the 1.9L high output engine as opposed to the weaker 1.8L most 318is' had. This car is amazing! It handles like its on rails and is absolutely gorgeous to look at!!
Pros:
Handles like its on rails.
Good on petrol.
Cons:
Lacks a bit of straight line speed because of the small engine and heavy car.

Its a classy car, gets all the looks just none of the girls. I like it becasue I've owned it for 4 years. Its held up well, I dump way to much money into it. Its not fast, it makes amazing noises, its no race car

This car sold itself. Used to see commercials back in '91, now I know the car IS the ultimate driving machine. From 75,000miles to 167,000miles in THREE years, I have put my 318is through every pace imaginable! I have had to restrain myself from turning it into a bona-fide M car...would have been too many tickets to pay!!! I am looking at an E46 four door to join it soon, need room for babyseat.

This car had only 99k miles on it when I purchased it not too long ago, so the engine still has plenty of life left in it. The handling is superb and although it's 138 HP does not wow me, I intend on sinking quite a bit into making this a treasure car. The controls on the right hand side of the car take a little getting use to but overall it's a great ride.

Its a very gorgeous car, basically the only thing i dont like about it is it has no balls. other than that its great, handels around every turn, interior is mint, exterior can use a new paint job but still looks good

its a 91 and its got style and performance from a 1.8 with a stock 145hp at 3200 blp it lightens to 2750 and can gane up to 460 setting only on hr springs and shockes and kill every thing on the track |
