My dream truck! Sure, it doesn't run right now, and it's in desperate need of some body work, but it's still gorgeous!! (Dents and scratches give it personality!!) It's got a new tranny, and we put a 4 inch lift on it last year. It's sitting on 35s. I put new Outlaw wheels on it, but they're starting to rust already. The interior if half-way restored. I've got a new sound system in there, but the truck leaks around the windshield. I'd like to finish restoring it in a few years.
Pros:
It's what I've always wanted!
Cons:
It's a money pit..And it only gets 7mpg...

i loved my truck even before i fixed it up. then after i was done i loved it even more.she was bright blue with a stainless flame grill and she ran so good. it would make my day when i would race her and bet the boys.

i finaly had to sell it to my little brother.

I Want a 1981 but it only goes up to 1972 for some reason. I helped my uncle build his and we just finished rebuilding the engine. He is getting an amplifier and a few sub woofers and install the ac delco radio and he will be completely finished.

Performance - These trucks can be flat out bad asses, even with a Small Block Chevy engine. A 350 with a nice sized cam and a little tuning, you can have a tire roasting machine!

They like to rust out at the cab corners, and the gas milage isn't very good.

I'm in the process of rebuilding it and i love how simple it is to work on. This era of trucks is by the best style of pickups ever built. Also it does have some accessories that make it easy to drive such as power steering, power brakes, sway bar, and coil suspension all the way around. Plus the 350s in these trucks are one of the best engines ever produced.

I had 15-20 67-72 Chevy pick ups some of them nicer than others. None of them I was very fond of.They are just not my favorite body style.It was kind of an ex-husband thing.
