1997 Chrysler Sebring Reviews
| “Beautiful Car, Loads Of Fun, More Of A Cruiser Than A Sporty Car, Not Very Solid-feeling” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chrysler Sebring 2 Dr JXi Convertible
Have owned for 7 years! If gas prices continue to skyrocket, though, my next car is a hybrid. Otherwise, my next car is also likely to be a convertible (most likely a Toyota Solara, though). This is a good car if you want a convertible at a decent price, though if you get it pre-owned like I did, be prepared to spend $$$ following the maintenance schedule to the letter.
Pros —
Fun to drive, esp. with the top down, good standard features, great Infinity stereo, generally handles well, general good ride quality, decent highway mileage, well-insulated top, handles well in all kinds of weather
Cons —
HORRIBLE over bumps, funny brakes, intermittent suspension/alignment problems, noisy ride with top up (b/c it's a convertible, I know...), somewhat uncomfortable driver's seat, bad city mileage, mediocre interior fit and finish (dash, controls, etc)

| “Mine Was Teal, And Had A Spoiler. Good Car, Though.” Reviewing:

I think this car was pretty nice. I never had any problems that I can remember...except for ones I created myself...like accidentally hitting the curb and blowing out a tire. :)
Pros —
Decent car, nice leather interior.
Cons —
Only two door.

| “Horrible Car...” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chrysler Sebring 2 Dr LXi Coupe
this car was not nice to me. i bought it in 2005 for $4,200, and over the 3 years that i had it, it cost atleast $6,000 in multiple repairs. my dad calls it the demon car. i was VERY happy to see it go.
Pros —
it looks pretty nice, nice rims and wheels, but looks can be decieving
Cons —
VERY bumpy ride, hard to see out of the back window, likes to be at the garage a lot.

| “One Word: Lemon” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chrysler Sebring 2 Dr JX Convertible
'97 Sebring JX Convertible, white with black top, Aftermarket Kenwood single disc cd player , gray leather interior, 2 aftermarket 12'' Kenwood speaksers with 1000 wt Kenwood amp bridged to push 400 wts/woofer...at 70K MI transmission dropped in busy intersection, replaced steering column mulitple times, engine work -- this car sucked to say the least...it was in the shop more than I drove it I think.
Pros —
Front wheel drive and a convertible top to enjoy.
Cons —
Total Lemon -- engine and transmission were terrible.

| “Very Dependable” Reviewing:
1997 Used Chrysler Sebring 2 Dr JX Convertible
Other than the fact that it's a 97' with 130,000 miles, it's been a very reliable car.
Pros —
Covertable for summer driving
Cons —
Old tops leak when raining
