At first I wasn't too crazy about driving a PT Cruiser.  A friend of my family owned it before I did, and being a car buff added an after-market grille, bumper covers, and some chrome trim.  Since we got it I was in an accident and had to lose the grille.  I also got some American Racing 5-spoke wheels for it.  I've put 110,000 miles on it since I got it about 4 years ago, and it's really earned it's keep.

Pros — Just keeps running!
Cons — Same gas milage as a jeep.

Turns like a truck, but loads of character - some major mechanical problems now it's getting older (with the transmission).  Also problems with the bushes on the steering, parts are expensive too - but the engine is sound, and the body work has no problems (only self inflicted ones!)  In all - it lives up to it's name - it cruises!

Pros — Loads of character
Cons — Parts are expensive when something goes wrong

PT Bearnum is a 2001 PT Cruiser Limited.  Many mods have been done - from wheels and tires to chrome trim and a full "woody" body kit.  Slowly but surely, PT Bearnum has gone from 'plain jane" with some factory options and accessories to full blown show car.  The 2.4 litre motor provides adequate performance and the handling is near perfect.  Fully loaded as the Limited Edition model - power seat, windows, mirrors, locks, tilt, cruise, AC, leather, power sunroof and more, it's a fantastic value.  The only downfall is the weight and the gas mileage.  The basic PT Cruiser weighs in as much as the larger Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country short models.  That leads to gas mileage that is far from stellar - usually low 20s for typical mix of highway and city/stop & go driving.

Pros — comfort, versatility, style, equipment, price, ride, performance, aftermarket parts & accessories, built in car club culture.
Cons — rather poor gas mileage for a car of it's size and the 4 cylender motor.

the only good thing about the pt cruiser is has plenty of room on the interior specially with the removeable 60/40 rear bench, but thats where the positive's stop.after purchasing the 2.4L 5spd touring edition pt cruiser i loved it until i hit 99,000miles then everything started going down hill big time. the engine blew out, 2 transmissions 3 clutch's  radiator and list goes on and on

Pros — great on gas
Cons — i could be here for a while to name all of them

It's my current car (but mine's black)

While it might not be the fastest thing on the road, it sure is a pleasure to drive.

Pros — Drives great, shifts go smoothly, brakes are awesome
Cons — Would like a touch more power

See pros & Cons

Pros — Looks nice, full leather interior, air con, cruise control, very comfortable, roomy & back seats can be completely removed.
Cons — Too Thirsty, repairs are expensive, limited as to where you can get parts from, not the quietest of cars & rubbish turning circle.

I'll do this later...

Pros — Its black and it glows when clean. The custom PDM billet grille makes it stand out a little more. Its paid for.
Cons — Its the first year it came out, I didn't get the extended warranty, had lots of suspension problems after warranty expired. Chrysler apparently knew about them and chose not to do any recalls or those 'bulletins'. They simply changed the designs for subsequent model years.

Just purchased this vehicle in Jan. 2008. So far I have no major complaints. It's fun to drive!

Pros — I love the look of it, it's easy to drive and has plenty of cargo space.
Cons — Being front wheel drive it doesn't handle snow and winter driving conditions as well as my 4WD Ford Escape.
