1989 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class Reviews
“My Tank”
Well my aunt Carmela owned this car back in the 80''s & 90"s I do was in love with the car and five years ago i have the opp. to purchase this one with no regret... I own 3 mercedes but this one is my favorite. I do love it and never will change this car for anything else.
“Quality”
in 1989 it was a great car, now its more or less ordinary
I work on these cars for a living. The 124 class is my favorite, I'm a 103 motor specialist. The 103 motor is the 3.0 inline 6 cylinder. Although the headgaskets seem to go every 5-7 years, these cars last way over 200,000 miles. These cars are great, my boss has a 300D 2.5 turbo diesel, car is great gets about 26 mpg, runs very strong. If any of you are in New Jersey and looking for a good shop that works on these, go to my shop

“Engineered Like No Other Car”
Build quality is timeless, things don't fall apart just because the car has aged. The engine is a straight six with a cast iron block and is probably one of the strongest engines that was produced at the time.
Bought in NJ as a project last summer - didn't quite finish all the work, but enjoyed working on it. It has the desirable 6 cyl turbo diesel engine - It will be for sale early summer when I finish the repairs.
