| “Escape” Reviewing:
2004 Used Ford Escape XLS
My wife drives this every day. She loves the performance of it, and it has a lot of interior room. It gets good gas mileage, and does not cost a lot for upkeep. It is great to drive on long trips. I would recommend an Escape to someone looking for a solid SUV.
Pros —
Roomy
Cons —
None

| “Good Over All” Reviewing:
2004 Used Ford Escape XLT 4WD
Spunky, smooth and easy to manouver. Has alot of room for a smaller suv. Excellent on the highway and good in the city. The only complaint I have is that it hass alot of raod noise. Fun to drive great handling, acceleration and braking are good as well. The appearance is nice I do like the styling of the 2008 escapes better but this is good for its age. Gas mileage is as good as can be expected I drive alot and probably spend on average $120.00-$160.00 per month. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Pros —
handles well. solid built, good on gas, great acceleration
Cons —
road noise

I realize a lot of people feel ford breaks down all the time, but what vehicles don't. I have a really good extended warranty which I've used a handful of times, but overall I would buy another escape.

| “Was A Great Car Until The Engine Died At 50k” Reviewing:
2004 Used Ford Escape XLT 4WD
First Escape was 2001 lease, loved it enough to turn in for new 2000 lease. Loved it enough to purchase when lease was up. Then at 50k miles the engine blew a rod. Okay, I did drive it hard, but common. That was still a young engine. The car is a zippy V6 with 200 horses and almost drives like a car. Great for snowboarding trips and general utility needs. Still like to drive it, but will buy a Toyota FJ Cruiser if this car dies again.
Pros —
200 HP makes it a fast little SUV, Almost drives like a car. Turns on a dime. Reliable in the snow. Roomy back seats.
Cons —
Engine died at 50k miles...and my on-line search found that I'm not the only victim of this. A few minor recalled parts were a nuisance.

| “Awesome Suv” Reviewing:
2004 Used Ford Escape XLS
It is good for everything I would ever need it for. One disadvantage, it can have a trailer hitch added, but it doesn't have enough HP to pull anything really.
Pros —
Gas mileage, size
Cons —
horsepower

| “Great Little Truck.” Reviewing:
2004 Used Ford Escape XLT 4WD
Owned it for about a year and a half now and its awesome. It handles really well for an SUV especially taking it around sharp turns. It has been in 2 front end accidents and held up amazingly well especially compared to the other vehicle. I always fill it with premium fuel because it has a nicer ride. The shifting and acceleration is a lot smoother. It also gets better mileage on premium. I put really nice tires on it last summer and now it handles bad weather like a beast. Could probably use a more powerful engine but I suppose that is where it gets its great mileage from. But seriously, 200HP in an SUV isnt really quite enough.
Pros —
Its an SUV, pretty good mileage, great handling, smooth ride
Cons —
Lacking in HP
